Well, Jesse got the scrub tech position which I think he is pretty excited about. He goes into the surgeries for training now. On Valentine's Day, he wasn't originally scheduled to work but there were some surgeries that he wanted to go see so he could get more familiar with everything. He came home in the evening and he got me this beautiful Azalea plant. He was going to get me roses but he decided it would be more fun to get something that lasted. He also brought me some Russell Stover truffles and my, oh, my are they good. I love those things!
We had Eddie and Bernie come over that night for pizza (so romantic) and we all watched a movie. When they were getting ready to go, Jesse got called in to an emergency surgery so we didn't see each other too much of the day but we did have fun regardless.
Right now, Jesse and Eddie are building me cupboards for over my washer and dryer and I am so excited!! I have wanted cupboards back there since we moved in (which was about 4 1/2 years ago). Once they get them hung, I get to paint them but I probably won't do that until it's warmer. I will eventually get a picture of them up.

The Last Little Bit
We have made it through January already. I know a lot of people really dislike winter especially January but I really don't mind to much. There is only a little less than 11 months until Christmas! ;) Atreyu just continues to grow and do new things. He recently discovered that he can crawl on all fours and not just do the "army crawl". He goes back and forth between the two now. He is constantly pulling himself up to things and he has actually stood all by himself a few times. He only does it for a few seconds and then realizes he's standing by himself and promptly sits back down.

The poor little guy got sick this past week. He threw up on Monday and then slept most of the day. He's had a runny nose and a cough since then and hasn't had much of an appetite. I think this is all because he is teething. I'm pretty sure I can see his front top teeth barely poking out now. My baby is becoming less and less of a baby all the time. Atreyu loves his Dad and gets mad if Dad doesn't give him all the attention he wants as soon as he wants it. It's pretty cute and I know Jesse loves that Atreyu loves him so much.

Jesse applied for a job as a scrub tech (the person who hands the surgeon tools in surgery) here in Montpelier and had an interview yesterday. If he gets the job, he will do that part time and work at the hospital as an RN the rest of the time. I am still very fortunate that I get to stay home with Atreyu. It's been such a blessing to me. I am also having fun making plans to paint part of our kitchen and hang a pot rack above our island. That really will be Jesse's job and I am really hoping he will be able to do that for me some time this year.
We are all doing really well and Atreyu is getting better every day.
