I wanted to get out of the house for a bit but I didn't really want to go anywhere too far so we decided to just take a walk around the RV park. There used to be a golf course here as well which has been shut down but there are some really pretty areas. One of the kids here in the RV park, Brett, saw us walking and he joined us. We watched some cool birds and Jesse helped the kids find a pretty good climbing tree that hung out over a pond. It was such a nice walk and even though we didn't go far and we could still hear all the noise of the freeway, it was still a peaceful getaway.

Just Hanging Out
I love that during the summer we don't have to worry about school work. I think I enjoy summer break almost more than the kids do. I'd probably think differently if I weren't homeschooling them. We've gone out for ice cream a couple times, we go swimming frequently, and the kids have enjoyed the hammock I got for Mother's Day and my birthday. I've used it a few times but it's started to get pretty hot and I don't want to be out in the heat.

Twins!!
I never imagined that anyone in my family would have twins so it was a complete shock and wonderful surprise to find out that my sister, Angela, was not only having twins but identical twin girls! She has been wanting another girl for so long and now she has two. They were in the NICU for about a month after they were born. Once they came home, my mom first flew down to help Angela and then Jesse, the kids, and I went over. We were there for about a week and I so enjoyed my time with those darling little girls who look just alike.
Cambria was in heaven and she could not get enough of those babies. She loved that there were two of them so there was almost always a baby she could hold. Atreyu didn't love on them quite as much but when he did hold them, he loved it.
Jesse and I both enjoyed loving on them too.
It was fun to see those girls, to visit with my sister, and see all the other kids as well. Atreyu loved having all those boys to play with. Katie played with Cambria so nicely, and I really enjoyed listening to Simon and all his stories...especially the one about "wobbly nibbles." We had a fun time!
