Working the Cows

Seth and Jenny and their family have come up a few times to help with the cows and they love it. It's fun having them here to help. It was a perfect overcast day for the first half. I then went home to make lasagna and birthday cake for Jesse and everyone else got rained on as they drove the cows up into the hills. They came back cold but everyone had a good time.
I'm glad that we got to spend Jesse's birthday with him. It is hard being away from each other but it really makes the time we have together that much more special. I sure do love that man!

T-Ball

Atreyu started T-ball a couple weeks ago. He informed me yesterday that he doesn't really like it but I told him that it only lasts for this month and he needs to stick it out. He said he was okay with that and he had a great attitude at practice today.
I'm glad that he has a good attitude and that he's willing to try new things. I really want to get him into wrestling. I know he would be awesome at it!

Getting Some Dirt

A couple weeks ago, Eddie helped me get a bunch of dirt to fill in the holes in the front yard. I am so grateful for him and all he does for me and my family. We went up in the hills with the kids and they had fun helping us with buckets and finding rocks. It was a good day and I'm glad I finally got the hole filled in and got some grass planted.

Riding in Bern

Since Atreyu got the Green Machine he has taken it out a few times. He loves riding it but it really is a lot of work getting up the hill. He's done great and been up and down our road multiple times.
Cambria, not one to be left out, had to get her bike and do some riding too. She also struggles getting up the hill but she can do it if she puts her mind to it. She also loves to ride and play in puddles which we have had a lot of in our driveway recently.
I feel so blessed and so lucky to be able to raise these two kiddos in such a beautiful, safe area.

Atreyu's Last Day of Kindergarten

Atreyu had his last day of kindergarten! He ran in the Walk of Fame. It's for the kids who have earned enough AR (advanced reading) points and they get to run down the hall of the school and give high fives to all the other students in the school. They played music and it made me wish that I had been able to do something like that as a kid.
All the kids then went to the cafeteria and I got a picture of Atreyu and his classmates.
I then got a picture of Atreyu with his two best buddies, Harrison Olson and Kostner Mecham. These boys are such great pals! I'm glad Atreyu already has such good friends.
Now it's on to first grade!

Another Weekend With the Browers

For my birthday, we headed over to the Brower's to spend the weekend. Jesse met us there and he brought me a delicious fudge cake and some beautiful flowers which I just realized I forgot to take a picture of. Annie had also gotten me a huge Costco sheet cake so we had our sugar fill for the weekend. Jesse also got me laser hair removal for all the stubborn facial hair I have. It is seriously the best gift I could have ever asked for. The hair is such a hassle and I am excited to see how well this works six months from now.

While we were at the Brower's, Atreyu lost his first tooth with the help of Annie. I can't believe he's old enough to be losing teeth! He was so excited and the tooth fairy brought him a dollar.
Since it was my birthday and Cody knows how much I love D&D, he did an adventure for me and Annie and it was awesome! Annie also did an adventure for the kids. Asher and Cambria liked it for a bit but started to lose interest, but Atreyu and Gage had a lot of fun.
Annie also gave Atreyu a much needed haircut. She cut the top first and then I took a picture, showed Atreyu, and asked him if we should leave it like that. He did not think that was a good idea and I had to agree.
While we were there, I got a phone call saying that Atreyu had made the most money for the Fun Run fundraiser and he won the Green Machine! He has really liked riding it but it's still almost too big for him. Enoch loved it!
I had a great birthday spending time with my family and friends. I sure am a lucky girl!

Field Trip to Willow Park

All the kindergarten classes got to go on a field trip to Willow Park in Logan. I volunteered to be a chaperone and I was surprised at how much fun it was. I was assigned to a small group of kids and we were able to walk around and look at all the animals. After lunch, the kids got to play on the playground at the park before we headed to the Utah State creamery for ice cream cones. It was a beautiful day and I loved the chance to spend some time with Atreyu.
