A Little of This, A Little of That

Atreyu is becoming more independent everyday but he has also picked up a terrible habit he has heard from other children...when he's mad, he squeals and screams very loudly. I think it's terrible and anytime he does it, he gets a little pop in the mouth. He sometimes closes his mouth while doing it now and I really don't mind that. It's actually kind of funny! I really hope that he learns (and soon) that he is not going to get away with that.
Anyway, Atreyu loves to play with these blocks. The first time we were playing together, the tower fell down and I said "oh no" and so now Atreyu thinks that they are the "oh no's". He loves to play with them. Dad once built him a tractor with the "oh no's" and he loved it! He always wants tractors now.


Sometimes when Jesse or I am cold, we like to grab a blanket and pillow and go lay down over the vent in our room. Atreyu has watched us do this and the other day he decided to do the same thing. He is so smart and catches on to things so quickly.

Last week Jesse was talking on the phone with Josh and he told Josh to not be a wuss. We had no idea Atreyu was listening but then we hear this little voice say "wuss". It was so funny but it also made us realize that we need to be really careful with what we say. He's like a little parrot.


I decided to take a preggie picture the other day, so here I am at 11 weeks. I can't believe my belly is already that big. I know that's what happens with second pregnancies but it's really hard to believe. I am starting to feel better most of the time and I am just really excited to have another sweet spirit join our family.

Oh, they were going to release me from being a primary worker in our ward but the next week they said they didn't feel right about that. I have been moved from Sunbeams (which I have taught for a few years) and I am now the nursery leader. I am excited! I have never taught nursery so it will be fun to have a new experience.

A New Addition!

We are very excited to be expecting our second baby in August! I am about 10 weeks along and man, this pregnancy hasn't been the breeze that it was with Atreyu. For the first 6 weeks I really had no symptoms at all but since then I have been nauseous just about every day. I can feel for those girls who get sick and now I understand a bit better. I had my first appointment last week and everything is going well. Our little one is about the size of a kumquat right now.

With how different this pregnancy is, it makes me wonder if baby is a girl. I will be happy with either one but I really want another boy because I have had so much fun with Atreyu and I already have all the boy stuff. Either way, I feel that we are very blessed to be having another baby and I am thankful to my Heavenly Father for trusting us with another one of His children.

Play-Doh Night

I have tried to get Atreyu to play with play-doh a few times and he just didn't like the feel of it. Well, yesterday morning I got it out and made a tractor and then he loved play-doh. When Jesse got home last night, Atreyu made him play as well and these were the creations of the night.




I love that Jesse even made little "Papas" to sit in the tractors. Atreyu really liked that part and kept taking "Papa" out and playing with him. I love when we can all spend time together!
