Family Pictures 2014

Our friend, John Petersen, took our family pictures again for us this year.  He does such great work! We had a difficult time getting both kids to look and the camera at the same time.  It was even more difficult to get them both to smile.  Cambria kept wanting to go swimming in the creek no matter how many times we let her feel the cold water.  John still got some pretty good shots and I love them!

I Have the Cutest Kids Ever

I know every parent thinks that they have the cutest kids, but I truly do.  Everywhere I go I am told how cute they are and I must admit it has gone to my head.  They are both such darling children and they both have such fun, different personalities.
Cambria (like me, apparently) is the sweetest girl ever when she's happy.  When she gets upset, however, she is a little devil.  She's either one extreme or the other.  She loves playing babies and Wreck-it-Ralph.  She loves dancing (especially to ABBA) and she has recently started singing more.  She's stubborn like both her parents but she loves to be loved.

Atreyu loves to play with just about anyone but he also plays great by himself.  He still loves superheroes and Legos.  He's always dressing up and he loves to act out his superhero movies either in costume or with his action figures.  He's easily frustrated (like me) and he gets very upset if things aren't working the way he wants.  I love listening to him when he's playing in his room by himself.  

All my life I wanted to be a mother and most days it is better than what I ever imagined.  I have my bad days like everyone but the good outweighs the bad so much there's not a comparison between the two.  I love watching my kids learn and discover new things.  They are both so smart.  Cambria surprised me the other day by counting to 11 on her own.  I had no idea she could even count to five. I am so thankful that my Heavenly Father has blessed me with these sweet children.  I love being their mother!

My Silly Kids

Atreyu loves dressing up almost more than any kid I know.  He thought it would be really funny if he put on my Princess Peach costume.  He was right...

The kids and Cindie laughed and laughed.  I really love Atreyu's great imagination.  He keeps us very entertained.  Cambria had to dress up a bit too.

In the past few months these two have become best friends and greatest enemies.  They can play together so well.  The other evening they were playing in the back yard laughing with each other and it was really one of the best sounds I've ever heard.  I love their sweet spirits and it's the good moments that get me through the not so good ones.  They fight quite often.  If Cambria is ever upset at Atreyu the first thing she does is pull his hair.  They fight back and forth but they do love each other very much.
