Grandma Lind

My dear Grandma Lind passed away on the 20th. I've made the effort for quite a few years to try and call her as often as I could. It wasn't as much as I would've liked, but I'm glad I made the effort, and she always told me how much she appreciated my phone calls. Her passing wasn't unexpected, but the loss is still there. I'm going to miss calling her up and hearing her voice and visiting with her at the family reunions. I'm glad that she is finally reunited with my grandpa and I'm so thankful that I was blessed to have her in my life as long as I did.

Jesse wasn't able to take the time off for her funeral, so I took the kids up by myself. We stayed with Eddie and Bernie for a couple nights before the funeral. The kids loved being able to play in the snow and spend time with Grandma and Grandpa.

We drove a couple hours to Tremonton and stayed the night at a hotel. We were able to see my mom and Luigi, Tim, Angela, Steph and her family, and a bunch of aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was a nice little family reunion.
We stayed a night at a hotel on the way home. I got up in the morning and I had to take some pictures of all my sleeping babies.
I am so thankful for my knowledge of eternal families. I know that I will see my grandma again and I know that she is happy and no longer suffering.

Home With My Littles

Sometimes it's really hard being a stay-at-home mom but it's also really rewarding watching my kids learn new things and develop their own personalities. I really thought we were done having kids after Cambria but now I cannot imagine my life without Cosette and Magnus. They both make me crazy and, at the same time, make me feel so loved. I'm grateful I get to be home with them and watch them grow. Magnus is getting so good at walking! Cosette has decided that eating noodles with her fingers is the correct way to eat them. Magnus has mixed feelings about bath time. He likes it for a short time but when he wants out, he wants it right away.

Park Time

After picking up the kids from school the other day, we stayed for a bit and played at the park. It was a beautiful day! There are few things that I will miss about California once we move back to Idaho, but it is nice to be able to play at the park in January without a big winter coat. I do love the winter and snow, however, so I don't mind bundling up, but the warmer weather is good for the littles. Magnus is learning to crawl and climb all over the playground equipment. I sure love these kids of mine.

Love Bugs (and Pigs)

I feel like I'm a little kid when it comes to holidays. I love to decorate about a month in advance and I have a hard time not shopping for decorations. The girls and I found a cute idea on Pinterest to make "Love Bugs". They turned out so cute and we had a fun time playing together and coming up with different configurations. Cambria even made some "Love Pigs". It was a fun, cheap way to get some more decorations.

10 Year Challenge

Facebook had a 10-year challenge to compare what you look like now to what you looked like 10 years ago. 10 years ago, I had one baby who is now a big 11 year old boy. I don't feel like I look much different.

My Funny Girls

I love my girls! I am so thankful that Heavenly Father blessed us with two boys and two girls. Sometimes, I wish they were closer in age, but I know that for my sanity, the way they are spaced out is for the best. Cambria and Cosette both love to be silly and have fun. Cosette can rarely pose for a picture without scrunching up her face and squinting her eyes and when she has food in her mouth, it's even more exaggerated.

Ice Skating

Cambria has been begging me to take her ice skating, so the two of us went on a date to the skating rink in Modesto. I was surprised how quickly she picked it up. She only fell once at the very end. She's already begging me to take her again and she thinks that we need to go every winter. I think I agree with her. I had a lot of fun, too.

I had a fun day with my girl, and I know I need to take the time to do more one-on-one things with all my kids.

Sunbeams and Aaronic Priesthood

Sunday was a big day. Our sweet, little Cosy girl went to her first day in Sunbeams. I feel a bit bad that she had such a short amount of time in nursery because of Covid but, thankfully, she won't remember. She did so good and had a great time in her new class.
Atreyu was able to receive the Aaronic Priesthood today. Next week will be his first week passing the sacrament. It's hard to believe that my baby boy is already old enough to pass the sacrament. They really don't stay little very long and even though the days can seem long the years pass by almost in the blink of an eye. I constantly have to remind myself of that on the difficult days. I'm so proud of the decision Atreyu made to receive the priesthood and I'm grateful for the example he is setting for his siblings and friends.
