4 Month Check Up
How is my little Cambria 4 months old already? The time flies by much too quickly. We took her to the doctor today and she weighed 14 lbs 5 oz which I think they said was about the 58th percentile. She is 25 1/4 inches long, the 87th percentile. She is such a sweet little baby. She had her shots yesterday and only cried for a second after each one but later in the day she started bawling and I couldn't get her to stop forever. She finally calmed down in her swing and slept for about 4 hours. She's doing much better today. She babbles more and more everyday and she has started to laugh occasionally. She has the sweetest little smile that makes her whole face light up. I love my baby girl so much!
Here is a picture of her in the jumper which she is starting to like a little bit. She doesn't bounce yet but I can tell it is strengthening her legs.
Atreyu likes the jumper more than Cambria and he is constantly playing with it. This little boy makes me laugh so much! I just love him to bits!

Thanksgiving
For Thanksgiving this year, we went up to Montana to be with my family. On our way there, Atreyu threw up again because of his car sickness. It usually only gets to him on windy roads. He did just fine on the way home as did Cambria. But on the way there, Cambria was fussy for about a third of the time. Fussy kiddos makes one think about traveling less but we had a good time with my family. We stayed with my Grandma one night and then had Thanksgiving dinner at my Uncle Tom and Aunt Judy's place. There weren't many of us there but it was an excellent dinner with good company.
We went back to my parent's place that night. On Friday afternoon, the girls (my Mom, Stephanie, Cadence, Cambria and myself) did a little shopping. It was fun to get out and look around but after two stores, we were done. I got Cambria a pretty Christmas dress (which Jesse says doesn't look Christmas at all), some jammies for the kiddos and a few gifts. It was fun getting out with the girls. That night we stayed up until 2:30 playing Magic. I never stay up that late but we had a fun time.
I am always thankful for this time of year where I am able to reflect on all my blessings. I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to be the wife to a man I love with all my heart and a mother to two beautiful children. I love my sweet, little family so much and I know I am truly blessed to have them all in my life. I am thankful for all my family, immediate and extended. I have been blessed to love many wonderful people and have their love in return. I am thankful for wonderful friends, my lovely home and the beautiful area that we are privileged to live in.
I have so many things in my life to be grateful for and I need to be better about recognizing all those blessings all year long. I know there are many people much less fortunate than myself and I know I need to do better at serving those people and just being more grateful.
I am excited for the Christmas season. It is my favorite time of the year and I am excited to watch my kids on Christmas morning. I remember how much I always loved Christmas. It would take me forever to fall asleep. I am thankful that we are blessed to spend these special holidays with family that we love so much!

A Weekend Trip to Utah
This past weekend Eddie and Bernie invited me to go down to Utah with them to see Janell's new home. Since Jesse was scheduled to work night shifts all weekend and I probably wouldn't see him much anyway I decided to go down with them. We left Friday afternoon and got stuck in Salt Lake's awful rush hour traffic. We finally made it through and got to Janell's house. They have a beautiful home in a great location. On Saturday we all met up with Jenny's family at this really neat park. There were so many places for the kids to play and they all had a blast!
It was a beautiful day and I was glad I decided to go down. Atreyu had so much fun playing with all his cousins and I loved being able to visit with everyone. I love getting together with family.
Baby Bri also turned 3 months old this weekend and since I was carrying her in a front pack thingy while we were at the park I didn't get any pictures of her so here is one I took on Friday. She is so beautiful!

Halloween 2012
We had a good Halloween this year. I couldn't believe how beautiful the weather was. We normally have to wear winter coats and there is either rain or snow but it was wonderful. I wanted to make a Halloween lunch for Atreyu so we had slugs and worms (mac 'n cheese and hot dogs in green food coloring). It looked pretty gross. Atreyu liked the macaroni but he wouldn't touch the hot dogs.
Later in the afternoon I got the kids all dressed up and we stopped at the bank so Atreyu could get some candy from the ladies there and then we went to King's to enter the costume contest. I don't know if they'll win anything but it was fun.
Since it was about 5:00 I decided we would head back to Bern and start trick 'r treating. We probably went to about 15 houses total but Atreyu made a pretty good haul. Bern gets such few trick 'r treaters that people usually hand out multiple pieces of candy.
Jesse finally was able to carve his zombie pumpkin and I think it looked pretty awesome.
We lit all our pumpkins and they looked so good glowing out on the steps.
We all had a great Halloween this year. I think Atreyu will remember it from now on and be excited every year.
