Honor Roll

I was pleasantly surprised and so proud to find out that Atreyu made it on the honor roll this past trimester. He works hard and I feel his reading has improved so much this past year. He was so happy with his achievement! 

Bowling

Cambria has been begging to go bowling for weeks so we went as a family a few days ago. The kids both did pretty well with the bumpers up. All of us got a least one strike for the night! I love seeing the kids get so excited when they do well. We then went to IHop for dinner since kids eat free and someone payed for our meal. It was such a kind gesture and I love to see that there is still so much human kindness in the world.

Sleepovers and Laughing

Atreyu and Cambria love to play with Cosette and try to make her laugh. She seems to enjoy them most the time as well. When Cosette was a tiny baby Cambria and I found these matching shirts but the smallest size was 18 months so we had to wait a while for Cosette to be able to fit into hers. It's still a bit big but Cambria loves that they are able to match. These two played on the couch laughing with each other for at least 15 minutes. 

 Atreyu has a good friend from church named Brendan. He is such a sweet kid and he makes sure to include Cambria in their games. He was here playing the other day and the kids asked if he could stay the night. This was the kids' first "non-cousin/family friend" sleepover and they had a great time. I'm seeing my kids make good friends and I can't help but feel a little sad for when the time comes that we move back to Idaho and they have to say goodbye to all their friends here.

Halloween Shenanigans

I love Halloween! I love that it's in the fall, that it's the first of three wonderful holidays, and that everyone gets to be a kid at Halloween. Atreyu went back and forth and what he wanted to be this year but once dad agreed to be a killer clown with him, he was set. Cambria was Ladybug from the show Miraculous. I though it would be fun for me and Cosette to dress up together so she was Cinderella and I was her fairy godmother.
We had fun carving pumpkins, going to the ward trunk-or-treat with our neighbor, Jack, and then going trick-or-treating with him and his family. Atreyu was able to carve his own pumpkin at scouts and then with our family. This is the first year he has done it on his own.
