Our Baby Boy is 3!

I think Atreyu had a wonderful birthday weekend.  On Friday, the Browers came down.  Annie and I took the kids out for a walk but it was very short lived due to the cold weather and wind.  Cambria and Asher both were sick of the whole ordeal pretty quickly.
Later that evening we had pizza, cake and ice cream with them and Grandma and Grandpa.  I think the cake turned out awesome as did Atreyu.  He was so excited to see it and he wanted to play with the tractors right away.  It was a yummy cake!

Atreyu then opened his presents.  He made quite a good haul.

Atreyu and Gage then took a bath, played for a bit and had a sleepover in Atreyu's room.  I just can't believe they are both 3 already!  Time sure flies.

On Saturday, we went down to Hogle Zoo with Grandma and Grandpa and we met Jenny and Janell's families.  The kids all had so much fun together regardless of the rain.  Atreyu was so excited to see the snakes for some reason.  He also liked the polar bear, giraffes and elephants.  Cambria had a bit of a cold and slept part of the time but she was really well behaved.

After the zoo, we ate at Chuck-A-Rama and then headed home.  Atreyu slept the whole way back.  When we got home at nine something he thought he needed some birthday cake.  We all joined him with the cake and then went to bed.  It was a good weekend and I'm glad so many people were able to celebrate with us.  I love that little boy so much and I am so thankful we have been blessed to have him in our family.

Springtime in Bear Lake

The weather here in Bear Lake keeps fooling us.  It gets nice and I think, "maybe tomorrow I will start working in the yard," and when tomorrow comes, it's snowing.  I know we need the moisture so I won't complain but I am so excited for warm weather and playing outside.  Atreyu keeps telling me that he wants to play in his backyard.  Hopefully the snow will be completely done soon.

I never had a chance to get pictures of the kids on Easter in their church clothes so I took some this past Sunday.  I absolutely love the one of them looking at each other.  That one definitely gets a frame.  My kids are so beautiful!  I'm a pretty lucky mommy!

I got a cold a couple weeks ago and then passed it on to the rest of the family.  I still have it a little bit.  Atreyu didn't seem to get too sick.  Just a runny/stuffy nose that has pretty much cleared up.  Jesse still has it and Cambria got it pretty bad for a few days.  She would wake up in the morning or from naps and her eyes would be gooped shut.  I felt so bad for her.  She's doing much better now.

We have these decorative pillows on our couches and Atreyu loves to play with them.  Unfortunately, because of all the playing, the fringe on the edges is constantly falling out and making a mess all over.  I decided I was sick of it so I made some covers for them.  I even put zippers in so that I could wash them if need be.  I think they turned out pretty darn good.
I really have enjoyed my few sewing projects and I want to try some more.  I think I might get a sewing machine next year sometime.  I would do it this year but the extra money is going to our cruise this fall.

Fishing

On Tuesday we went out to the rearing pond with our friends Jen and John and their boys to go fishing.  It was Atreyu's first time fishing and he had a great time.  Jesse has a rod that broke last year and since it was short we figured Atreyu could use it.  His rod caught the first fish of the day.  He was pretty excited!  As I was trying to get a picture of him with the fish, he would jump and giggle whenever the fish moved.  I think he was a little scared of it but also found it funny.

The kids' rods did the best.  I don't think Jesse's rod caught anything.  I was able to catch a fish with Atreyu's rod and the boys' rods caught 4 or 5 fish between them.  It was fun watching the kids play together.

Atreyu found a stick with fishing line on it and he carried it around and "fished" with it for the majority of the time we were there.  He occasionally would share with the other boys but he wanted it most the time.

We had a fun time and it was a beautiful day to go out.  Cambria also enjoyed being outside.  She is such a beautiful baby.

Pickles

I just had to post this because I thought it was so cute and funny!  Cambria is a good eater.  She hasn't turned her nose up at anything.  I wanted to see what she thought of pickles and here it is...

I love the way she is looking at me in the second picture.  I think that look says it all.  Once she sucked the sour juice off she really didn't mind the pickle itself too much.

Happy Easter

We had a good Easter with Jesse's family.  Both his sisters and their families came up on Friday and we were able to spend a fun weekend with them.  On Saturday morning the kids searched for eggs left by the Easter Bunny.  Atreyu would run from egg to egg finding as many as he could.  He really didn't even stop to eat any of the candy until the hunt was done.  Cambria walked around with Grandpa and even though she was pretty tired she enjoyed being outside and watching all the kids.

After all the eggs were found, all the kids sat down and cracked their eggs.  They got candy, money, stickers, stamps and bouncy balls.  They all had a good time.

Our family then went into Montpelier for Atreyu's friend, Jaxyn's, birthday party.  I didn't get any pictures there but Atreyu had fun playing with the kids.  Unfortunately, there was a little girl who poked him in the eye and his eye hurt for the rest of the day.

When we got back to Grandma and Grandpa's, the kids went on a treasure hunt for their Easter baskets.  The Easter Bunny left clues all over the house and they found their treasure downstairs in the cellar.

It was fun spending the weekend with family.  On Sunday we went to church where we were able to focus on the true purpose of Easter.  We had wonderful lessons about our Savior, his death and resurrection.  I love watching the kids learn about our Savior and His love for each of us.
