Cub Scouts

Atreyu is now old enough to go to cub scouts and he loves it! For one of his first activities, the families were invited to come to a dinner that the older boys were preparing. Atreyu and some of the other boys also did a little skit which Atreyu thought was very funny.

We were sad Jesse missed out since he was working. The boys prepared a yummy dutch oven spaghetti dinner, apple dessert. It's fun seeing Atreyu with boys his age. 

Atreyu's 8th Birthday Week

My baby boy turned 8! It's such a huge milestone and I can't believe we've already been blessed with him in our lives for so long. Jesse wasn't actually off of work on Atreyu's birthday so we celebrated in San Francisco a few days before. We started off eating at a restaurant in Little Italy, visited the cable car museum and then rode a cable car, spent time at the beach, walked around Ghirardelli Square, and finished off the day having dinner and dessert in Japantown.

Atreyu wanted a Hero Factory birthday cake this year. It's really difficult to bake cakes in this little propane oven so I just bought a cake and we decorated it with some Hero Factory guys. It turned out good and I'm glad he still liked it but I need to figure out how to make cakes work in the oven. I miss doing them.

Atreyu still likes super heroes but he's not as in to them as he used to be. He loves Bionicles, Hero Factory, and Pokemon. His favorite foods are sausage and ramen noodles. He likes Dr. Pepper and he enjoys playing board games with his Dad and Mom especially Evolution. He has a wonderful imagination, loves to love his mom, and he's building a strong testimony of the church and Jesus Christ. I feel so blessed that I get to call him mine.

A Tea Party With My Princess

Cambria is such a fun girl with a spunky, sassy personality. She always wants to have fun and rarely likes to play alone. She loves it when there are other kids around for her to play with and when there's not, Mom gets asked to play. I don't say yes as often as I should but I always enjoy the times when I do. This particular day she wanted to have a tea party. She got all dolled up and we enjoyed some delicious "tea" and sandwiches, and wonderful conversation. I appreciate her imagination and easy going attitude.

Snails

Ashley Doman (the bishop's wife) invited the kids to play while she did some yard work. I stayed and helped her pull weeds while we visited and Cambria and Amberlyn had fun finding snails. They are pretty common down here but we never see them in Idaho so we were pretty excited about it. The girls got a whole bunch and put them all together so they could be a "family".

Ashley and I have quite a bit in common and it's nice to have a good friend down here. I'm sure we'll end up having a lifelong friendship.

Easter Egg Hunt

Jesse had to work the day before Easter so I took the kids to an Easter egg hunt. In addition to getting eggs there were bounce houses, Disney princesses and Kylo Ren, a petting zoo, and carnival games. It was a fun day!

Dyeing Eggs

This past week was spring break for the kids down here. My kiddos had many friends to play with everyday. Our RV became the main hangout for most of the week. One day we decided to dye eggs for Easter. I got everything all ready and took it outside to the picnic table. It was just my kids and I and then within minutes, every other kid was here and we ran out of eggs within about two minutes. I boiled a few more and those were done instantly as well. I'm glad all those kids feel comfortable being with us and I prefer them all to be here anyway.

Atreyu had fun dipping the eggs in the dye with his fingers. Thankfully it washed off within the day.
