Wreath Making

Krystle and I were asked by the Relief Society to teach a wreath making class for Super Saturday in September. We found this idea for a wreath with paper flowers made from old book pages that we decided to try. They turned out so well. I'm excited for the class and to see how everyone else's turns out. Naturally, Cambria had to join us and make her own wreath. I love her beachy theme.

A couple days later Cosette thought that she needed to make a wreath as well. With help from me and Cambria, she ended up with a very cute wreath.

That's a Wrap!

Another school year has come to an end and these kids just keep getting older and older. I can't believe Atreyu is going to high school! And Cambria only has 2 years left in middle school. They both had 4.0 GPA's all year long. Now we're looking forward to sleeping in and relaxing for a couple months.

 

Atreyu's 8th Grade Promotion

Atreyu had his 8th grade promotion. He has worked hard all through school and has maintained a 4.0 for a few years. I'm so proud of all his hard work and that he is such a good student who is loved by his teachers and his peers. 

I'm 40!

I remember when I was a kid and 40 seemed so old. Now that I'm here, I honestly don't feel any older than I did in my twenties other than having a bit more knowledge and wisdom now. It was a good birthday. Jesse spoiled me with two more Loungefly backpacks and another Loungefly wallet. Jesse even added the One Ring to the Lord of the Rings backpack. After we got back from the temple, we took the kids and saw the movie IF with the Lockwoods. The next day, we played DnD and Andrew and I shared a birthday cake as his birthday is a few days before mine. I was spoiled by my family and friends. I felt very loved and I'm so grateful to have so many people I love and who love me in my life.

Ashley Doman gave me these cute Minnie Tangled. Cosette loves them.

The Temple with Jessica

My friend, Jessica, gave me the best birthday present this year. She went through the temple to receive her endowment on my birthday. It was the same day as the ward temple trip but not many members of our ward were able to attend. Jessica had a lot of support, and it was such a wonderful experience to be there with her. I am so proud of her! She has been through so much in her life and she has come so far. She's an amazing example to me and I'm so glad I was able to be with her on her special day.

Braces

She's not too excited about it, but Cambria got braces. She has two adult teeth that won't come down on their own, so they have to make some room in her mouth, pull out the baby teeth that are in the way, and pull down the adult teeth. She looks so cute!

Mother's Day 2024

I usually don't request specific gifts for Mother's Day or my birthday, but this year I told Jesse many times that I really wanted this adorable Robin Hood Loungefly backpack. He didn't understand why I like it so much and quite honestly, I don't know the exact reason either. I just know that I love it. He led me to believe that he didn't think that I really wanted it and that he had not ordered it for me. I was shocked when I opened it, and it was a package that Jesse had had for weeks that he told me not to open. I thought it was something for his DnD campaign that he didn't want me to know about. It was actually the Robin Hood backpack. That man loves to tease me which I know really means that he loves me. He and the kids also got me a matching wallet and some yummy treats. 

At church, all the women met together in Relief Society for a short lesson and some finger foods. I'm usually in Young Women's and Krystle is usually in primary so it was nice to actually get to sit together at church.

That day, we found out that the Pettys didn't have any plans for dinner, so we invited them over. The guys cooked us an amazing dinner with steak and kabobs. It was a great day!

Youth Temple Trip

I was able to go with Atreyu and Cambria on the youth temple trip. It was the first time I've gone as a leader and not one of the youth. It was such a beautiful experience. Andrew Petty and his stepson, Romulus, were also able to come. Romulus was recently baptized for himself. It was so cool to see him be baptized not long before and now he's doing this important service for others. Andrew had the opportunity to baptize many of the youth. I'm thankful that we have a couple temples so close, and the youth are able to attend the temple multiple times a year.
