Atreyu's Preschool Program

The kids and I went to Atreyu's end-of-year preschool program last week.  The kids dressed up like alligators and sang some songs.  They would nod their heads and the little alligator hats would flap all around.  It was pretty darn cute.
They all got a certificate and were able to have their picture taken with the "Congratulations" cake.  Atreyu loved the cake and, like usual, he made quite a mess of himself.
I can't believe my little boy has already completed a year of preschool.  I swear I was just pregnant with him. He is such a joy in my life and I love watching him learn new things and seeing the excitement in his eyes when he finally figures something else.  I love that little boy and I am so thankful I get to be his mom.

Happy 30th Birthday to Me!

I can't believe I am 30!  I remember when I was a little girl my Uncle Corey turned, as he said, "the big 3-0." I remember thinking he was so old and now I'm the big 3-0 and I feel so young still.  I have had a wonderful 30 years and I hope the next 30 are just as amazing.  My birthday weekend we visited the Browers and then attended Kim's baby shower.  It's been so nice to be able to get together with with Annie, Cody and their family as much as we have recently.  I love that our kids get along so well and have fun playing with each other.  I am so grateful for such great friends in my life.
After Kim's shower, we went to Idaho Falls and ate at Johnny Carino's kid-free.
When we got back to Brower's, we got the kids to bed and then played games and stayed up way too late visiting.  I love when we are able to sit and visit but I always kick myself for staying up too late.  It was a great birthday weekend!

Mother's Day 2014

The day before Mother's Day, Jesse came home in the morning from working a night shift and he and the kids woke me up with a card, chocolates and beautiful flowers.  It was a nice surprise and it made me feel really special.  I'm so thankful that I have the amazing privilege of being a mother to my sweet babies.  Being a mother has been my dream since I was a small child and I feel so blessed.  I'm thankful I have Jesse to go on this crazy adventure with and I am so grateful for him in my life.

Just a Little Randomness

This post is just a few of the random things we have done recently.  Atreyu and Cambria were playing together and Cambria was just posing there all by herself so I had to get a picture of it.  They are so cute with each other and I love them so much!
One day when Cambria was taking a nap Atreyu wanted to have "piggies" put in his hair.  He looked pretty silly and he thought it was so funny!
Atreyu got some money for his birthday and he wanted a Hulk mask to go with his Hulk hands.
We spent one weekend in Inkom for Annie's birthday and Atreyu had an awesome time playing with Gage and his cousins.  Here's a few of them having some lunch together.
I pulled out the finger paints for the kids and Atreyu wanted to paint a picture for Great Grandma Lind and one for Annie.  It was Cambria's first time using finger paints and she seemed to enjoy herself.

Easter 2014

Every Easter Jesse's sisters and their families come up for the weekend.  The moms fill the eggs and the dads hide them.  We then have a big Easter egg hunt.  All the kids get so excited and I love watching their sweet faces.  Atreyu went around with Daddy and his face would light up every time he found an egg.
After finding all the eggs we went inside to see what the Easter Bunny had brought.  Cambria got some Bubble Guppies bath squirters and Atreyu got some Ninja Turtles.
It was a good weekend spending time with family and having the opportunity to reflect on our Savior's resurrection.  I am so thankful for the knowledge I have of Him and for the gospel in my life.  I'm grateful I have the opportunity to teach my children about our Savior and I hope that they come to love Him as much as I do.

Atreyu's Fourth Birthday

My little boy is four!!  Time goes by so quickly and my babies keep growing and growing.  Naturally, Atreyu wanted a superhero birthday.  The cousins on Jesse's side were here for Easter so we had a party with them. Atreyu saw a picture of this cake and it's what he wanted.  It was the easiest cake I have made for him.  I baked and frosted the cake and Jesse put the "A" and superheroes on.
We decided to get Atreyu a bike this year.  He saw this bike on the internet and it was the only one he wanted.  He was so excited to see it and was able to practice riding in Grandpa's quonset.
Whenever I ask Atreyu which superhero is his favorite he usually tells me that it is the Hulk.  Since he loves to dress up we got him some Hulk hands and I had everyone take turns doing a "Hulk Smash" on ice cream cones.
I made masks for the kids and Janell made masks for the "bad guys".  I got a bunch of silly string and they all had a war.  It was so much fun!  It made me want to have silly string handy whenever the family is all together.

A Walk to the Park

Earlier in April it finally started warming up a bit and it has been so lovely.  We were able to go out and do a bunch of yard work and take some walks.  We went to the park for the first time this year and the kids had a bunch of fun.  I love this picture of Cambria.  She's a little diva.
Atreyu always likes to dress up.  This particular day he was Superman, turned around.

My New Kitchen

I have always wanted a red kitchen so I finally decided to paint it.  Jesse told me that I should paint the small wall by the fridge black to offset the red a bit and I think it turned out awesome.  I love it!
