Baby Love

It's so nice to have a baby in the house again. He gives such wonderful snuggles. We all love him so much! I love watching the bigger kids love on him. Cambria and Magnus both have such good "funny faces."

 

Diesel

Back in December, the family that had been taking care of Diesel told us that it appeared he had had a stroke and they thought it was time to put him down. We went to pick him up and he seemed the same old Diesel he had always been.  So we brought him home and we've had him here since then. Unfortunately, we can't have pets at this house and I've been so worried the landlords would find out and kick us out. 

I reached out to a lady in the ward who helps find homes for animals in need and within 24 hours, she had over 10 families wanting him. It was sad to have to give him up but he went to a family who loves and spoils him. I'm glad that we had all the time with him that we did. He's such a sweet dog.

Valentine's Day 2021

Valentine's Day this year was spent with family. Having just had a baby, along with Covid, Jesse and I couldn't go out. We stayed in with the kids, ate yummy food and chocolate, and Jesse gave me some beautiful roses. I had these cute bears made for each of the kids. 

I didn't realize that I never took a picture with my main Valentine. I am so thankful for all he does for our family. I'm mostly grateful that he gave me all my mini Valentines.

Fingernails

Magnus has been needing to have his fingernails clipped for a little while now. I tried clipping them and this spot that looked like a long fingernail turned out to be skin. I clipped it, it started bleeding, and then Magnus started crying. I decided to wait for a bit before I tried again. Lucky for me, while we were at the Huynh's, Sam held Magnus nice and still and Jesse was able to get his little nails clipped. Great teamwork! Michelle and I really enjoyed watching them.

Funny Faces

Cosette and Magnus both make such funny faces sometimes. Cosette loves to cheese it for the camera and Magnus is full of silly faces just because.

I really thought we were done having kids with Atreyu and Cambria. I'm glad Heavenly Father knew better and sent these two to our family as well. They are such a blessing and with my four babies I know that our family is complete.

Trampoline

Cosette loves to jump on the trampoline with the big kids! She has such great balance and any time they are out there, she has to be out there too. I'm surprised how well she holds her own with kids so much bigger than her. I love when Atreyu and Cambria play together and enjoy each other.

Bath Time

Cosette and Cambria love taking baths together. Even though Cambria is still very cute, she's probably too old to have pictures in the bath anymore. The girls had a blast painting the walls of the bathtub and shower as well as painting each other.

Magnus had his first bath at home. He loved the warm water and the kids thought it was funny that he could take a bath in the kitchen sink. I know that he won't fit in the sink long and I'm trying to enjoy my last newborn for as long as I can.

Baby Love

We are all enjoying having a baby in the house again. I'm recovering pretty well and feeling good. I've found that I have taken the time to just sit and hold Magnus longer than I did with the others. I'm recovering from major surgery and I'm just going to enjoy Jesse and the kids doing most of the work around here for a while. I am loving all the baby snuggles and I love watching all my kids love on their new baby brother.

Magnus Griffin Kunz

Early Friday morning Jesse and I drove to the hospital in Modesto for my scheduled c-section. It is really convenient to be able to plan the day your baby will be born. I was able to get the house completely cleaned the day before and Jesse knew exactly when to request time off. 

I had to be tested for Covid. Thank goodness I tested negative so I didn't have to worry about being separated from my sweet boy. Our little Magnus was on January 29 at 7:47 AM. He weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and was 20.25 inches long. The surgery went perfectly and my doctor also tied my tubes and was able to fix an umbilical hernia I had at the same time. 

In the recovery room, Magnus latched on right away and has been great at breastfeeding ever since. He is such a sweet little baby and it's fun to have another boy in the family. Jesse spent most of the first day with me and then went home to the kids. We all really wished that they could've come to visit but due to Covid, Jesse was my only allowed visitor. I felt ready to go home the next day and we would have but the doctor wanted to monitor Magnus for another day to be sure he didn't get jaundice since he and I have different blood types.

We finally got the okay to come home Sunday afternoon and the whole family was so excited! It was so sweet watching all the kids love on their new baby brother. It is such a special feeling bringing a new baby home. Our family is now complete.
