This month has been a big one for Cambria. She no longer needs her medicine for reflux, her clogged tear duct seemed to clear up, she has been rolling over more (even though she rarely lets Daddy see her do so), she started eating baby food, she can almost sit all on her own, she had her first ponytail and she had one tooth break through with another on it's way. I can't believe she is old enough for all these things to happen already and yet I am acutely aware that I have not had a good night's sleep for months. She is jabbering and laughing more and she recently discovered how to blow raspberries with her tongue and she does it constantly. She loves when Daddy comes home and plays with her and she absolutely loves her big brother. No one can get her to laugh as much as Atreyu can. It's so sweet to me to see them interact with each other.
Atreyu keeps telling me, "I growing up," and, "I getting big," which he completely is. How is that sweet little boy who scared us to death when he was born almost 3 years old? He tells us when he gets big he's going to ride a bike and hold Cambria's hand on the road. I think he'll be a really good big brother to her. He has also been doing this thing for about a month or so where he says something and then tells me to say it to someone else (usually Cambria or Daddy). He says, "Mommy, tell Daddy..." and it has started to get rather annoying. I tell him to tell the person himself and he gets upset and says, "No, Mommy do it." Oh, what a funny kid.
Recently we started counting to three when Atreyu is misbehaving. I hadn't really thought of doing it but when we were in Denver, Annie used it on Gage and it worked really well. When we first started it we told Atreyu what would happen if we got the three and, up to this point, we have never got to three. We say one and he usually stops the bad behavior and says that he doesn't like it when we count. Atreyu is still a Mommy's boy most the time but he loves to spend time with Grandpa still and they are very good buddies. We are lucky to have at least one set of Grandparents so close.
I was doing laundry a few days ago and I had one of my shirts laid out on the table to dry and Atreyu thought that he should wear it. I don't know why he wanted to but it was funny watching him put it on. I should have got a video.

This and That
A few weeks ago Grandpa got out his snowmobile and stopped by to give Atreyu a ride. They would go off for a few minutes and then Grandpa would bring him back thinking Atreyu would be cold but Atreyu just kept saying, "more". We ask Atreyu about it now and he calls it the "grandpa-bile".
I have a hard time getting pictures of both of my kiddos together but Atreyu wanted to hold Cambria a few weeks ago and I was able to get a shot of them. These two cuties drive me crazy but I wouldn't trade them for the world.
A couple days ago I decided to try to take pictures of me with my kids for fun and these ones turned out the best. It's rather hard trying to take a picture yourself while also trying to hold kids still.
Bern Ward Christmas Party
I forgot to make a post of this before Christmas but better late than never. We were able to attend our ward Christmas party this past year. They served a ham and turkey dinner and then they primary kids put on the Nativity. They did such a great job!
Santa stopped by afterwards and Atreyu was excited to see him. He loves Santa and wasn't scared at all.
It was fun spending time with our ward family and celebrating our Savior's birth.

A Friend for Everyone
This past week we were able to go down to Denver and spend some time with the Brower family. The drive down was pretty good. Thank heaven for portable DVD players. The movies really helped pass the time for both Atreyu and Cambria. Atreyu and Gage had a lot of fun playing together. Only on one of the last days that we were there did they start arguing. I think Atreyu plays with Gage almost better than he plays with anyone. I hope that they can always be good friends. The weather was beautiful down there. They still had some snow so one day we bundled up the boys and let them play. It turns out that they didn't need to be bundled that much. They were both sweating when we took their coats off.
We took some pictures of Cambria and Asher together too. Asher is a little over a month older than Cambria but you really can't tell since she's such a chubby little baby. I LOVE all her chub!
One night the Daddy's watched the kids and Annie and I went to an improv theater. It was so funny and I had such a great time getting out and having a girl's night. It really made me realize how much I miss Annie. We always have so much fun together!
Gage is turning 3 later this month and we figured that while we were down there we would get a cake and have a little "party". Atreyu came with me and Annie to the store while Gage was sleeping and he helped us pick out a cake. When we were at the check out he saw this horse and wanted a ride. It only cost a penny.
That night we sang Happy Birthday to Gage and gave him a present. The next day we had the cake out and finished it off and the boys found the leftover frosting. They had a ball!
Jesse and Cody also had time to hang out. One night, a bunch of Annie and Cody's friends came over and they all played Magic. Jesse told me he had a great time on the trip...as did I!
