Forts and Lakes and Cabins...Oh My!

A few weeks ago I built Atreyu his first fort. I didn't know if he would really like it or not but he LOVED it! It was so much fun watching him go in and out. He had to carry his apple around with him as well. We played in it for quite a while with his tractors and other toys. So much fun!

We also went to Bear Lake again with Angela and her kids and Uncle Tim. Jesse was with us this time and he took Atreyu into the lake but he still wasn't a fan of it. He does really enjoy playing in the sand so that's what he and the other kids spent most their time doing.
When I was at the store getting some snacks for the lake, I found these cute kids' camping chairs. There wasn't a price on them and they weren't in the system. I guess store policy is that if it's not in the system the item is only 99 cents. So I bought 3 chairs for me and 3 for Angela for like $6. What a steal and Atreyu loves having his own chair.

Last weekend we went to Montana for the Lind family reunion. We had so much fun! Of course I am terrible at taking pictures but I did take a few of my Uncle's cabin. This is one of my very favorite places in the whole world where I get to meet with some of my very favorite people in the whole world. We had a great time at the reunion! I love spending time with my wonderful family!

Parades and Boxes

Jesse and I were in charge of our ward's float for the 4th of July parade but unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures. Some other people did though so we might get copies from them. Anyhow, we won 2nd place in our division! While at the parade, Atreyu caught this necklace and loves to play with it.

The other day I was collapsing this box and Atreyu thought it would be fun to play with and he had a grand time doing so. He is so entertaining and so smart. I am so, so blessed to be his mother. He does so many new things everyday, it is just so fun to watch him grow and learn!

Pool Time "Fun"

It is finally warm enough that we were able to put Atreyu's pool out. I think if the water and been warmer he would have like it more but needless to say, he was not very fond of the cold water. We did have fun playing in the yard though and it was just nice to get out of the house for a little while and cool off a bit. We are going to try the pool again but we might put some warm water in to begin with.

Bear Lake

When we got home from our Yellowstone trip summer was suddenly in full force. I am so thankful for the warm weather finally. The Christiansen's, Atreyu and I went to Bear Lake for an afternoon and had fun playing mostly on the beach. Atreyu was not a fan of the water but that was probably because it was still pretty cold. That did not stop any of the Christiansen's though. They all had fun in the water. Cameron, who is 6'6" buried his legs up to his knees in sand and then he and Janell were about the same height. It was pretty funny.

That same morning, Atreyu woke up and his right eye was swollen and continued to swell throughout the day because he got a mosquito bite right under the eye. I felt so bad for him.

We had a lot of fun and are hoping to get out to the lake again sometime soon. The water has risen even more and now there is hardly any beach left on North Beach. It's crazy!
