Well, my little boy turned 1. I don't know where the time has gone. It really seems like just yesterday that he was born. He has brought our lives' so much joy and I am so grateful that our Heavenly Father blessed us with him. His birthday was on a Wednesday and Jesse made us crepes for breakfast. Atreyu really enjoyed them (especially Mom's with syrup). We gave him a couple little presents that day but saved the rest for when we celebrated with Jesse's family on Easter weekend.
On Saturday, the kids had an Easter egg hunt and Atreyu had so much fun. He would grab an egg and go right back to Dad so that he could open it up and have some candy. We then took some family pictures and played at the park. I will post the family pictures a little later when Seth is finished with them. When we came back to Grandpa and Grandma's we had an indoor scavenger hunt to find the Easter baskets. We had such a good time with all the family.
That night we celebrated Atreyu's birthday. I made him a racetrack cake with M&M's and 3 Musketeers bars. He was very polite eating the cake at first. He would pick off individual M&M's and eat them one at a time. He eventually started digging in and ended up like most babies with cake all over. When he was finished, he started crying for Grandpa to hold him, so, Grandpa being the wonderful man that he is, held Atreyu for a few minutes and ended up having to take a bath himself afterwards.
He got quite a few gifts from everyone. Grammie, Papa and Tim gave him the cute little suit that he is wearing. I need to get a better picture taken before church next time. He had a great birthday with many wonderful memories.
