Some Funnies From My Kiddos

Kids really do say the darndest things. Unfortunately I usually forget to write them down. Just recently both my kids have said some pretty funny things and I actually remembered to write down one from each of them.

Atreyu and Cambria were playing house and Atreyu was the baby. Cambria told me, "I got a new brother from the people maker." It was so funny! I'm glad that I was around to hear that.

A few weeks ago I asked Atreyu if he would defend Cambria and make sure that only good boys could ask her out when they were older. He said he would but since Cambria loves Asher and is going to marry him she wouldn't want to date any other boy anyway. I brought up that Atreyu says he is going to marry Isabella but he has a crush on a girl named Brynlee from his class. He thought about it for a minute and then said, "I can't figure it out." He likes them both but he just can't figure out which one he likes more. It was so sweet and he seriously is wondering which one he should marry.

Nail Polish

Isabella Harper gave Cambria some nail polish and Cambria wanted to paint her nails all by herself. She did pretty good. Once she was finished I just cleaned the paint off her fingers. Her nails looked so pretty and she was so proud that she did it all on her own.

A Card From Atreyu

One day I picked Atreyu up from school and he told me that he wanted to make me a card because he loves me. That boy is so sweet to me. He always wants to make sure to give me hugs and kisses and to tell me that I'm pretty. I sure did get lucky with him.

The front of the card says, "I luv yoo mom. From Atreyu." On the back he made a pocket so he could give me a treat.

Sleeping Beauty

Most nights Cambria comes into our room at least once. At first I'd get up and put her back in her bed but anymore we just tell her to lay on the LoveSac. She lays down and usually stays there the rest of the night. One night when Jesse was working a night shift, I got the kids in bed and then took a bath. When I got out I discovered Cambria asleep on the LoveSac. I just left her there and she stayed all night.

Cambria usually doesn't take naps but for some reason this last month she has fallen asleep a few times during the day. Of course when that happens she won't go to bed until late at night. One day she fell asleep on the couch with Arianna Harper.

She is such a pretty, little sleeping beauty.

They Let Me Sleep In

There are some mornings that the kids wake up early and we don't have to go anywhere so I let them play and they let me sleep. Usually when this happens, I get up and find they have made "dessert" which almost always consists of chocolate and butterscotch chips, candy corn, and marshmallows. The first time they added water and it looked so gross! One morning I woke up to find that they had gotten all their stuffed animals and piled them all up on the LoveSac. It was cute.

I love these mornings when they play so nicely with each other. I get frustrated with how much they fight but they also love each other so much. They always look out for each other. If one of them gets a candy, they want to make sure the other gets some as well. I'm so glad they have each other.

Tea Party

Cambria got a cute little tea set for Christmas so we had a tea party (actually a hot chocolate party) with Cindie. The kids all loved pouring their own drinks and even though we had quite a few spills it we all enjoyed ourselves. I love spending time with these sweet people. I'm such a lucky mommy!

A Late New Years

Since Jesse wasn't here on New Year's Eve we stayed up late with the kids the next night. Atreyu and Jesse played Star Wars on the Disney Infinity. It was a relaxing evening and I just really enjoyed being with my family. I love it when we can all spend time together.

Experiment

I saw an idea on Pinterest for an experiment so I thought I would have the kids try it out. They love experiments! We put some ice in a bowl and poured some baking soda on it. We then put vinegar in four glasses and added some food coloring. The kids then squirted the vinegar on the ice. It bubbled and the colors made the ice pretty. They had fun and I think it made the ice melt a little quicker than normal.
