He Did It!!

After all the bribs and coaxing Atreyu finally peed in his potty today!  We told him that when he peed in the potty he got to put a sticker on his chart and help Mommy make a cake.  We also told him when he filled up his chart with stickers, he got to watch our new 101 Dalmatians movie but since we just couldn't get him to go we told him he could watch it if he peed just once in the potty.  While we were watching it he kept telling me, "I like this movie".  I don't know what made him decide to do it today but he put on his big boy undies.  He had a couple accidents before he went in the potty and he hasn't done it again but this is a big step in the right direction!  I kept telling him I was so excited and happy that he had done it and he told me, "I happy too".  We had fun making and eating the cake.

I am so proud of this little man.  He is so smart and I know when he decides that he really wants to always go potty he will do really well!  I love you buddy!

The Days of Our Lives

Recently Atreyu has been acting out my life.  He pretends he is Mommy and I'm Atreyu.  He has a little baby doll he carries around and he says she is Cambria.  He sets up either a house or a store in the kitchen and then he buys his groceries and makes meals and mostly cakes.  He is so funny!  Last night I was sitting by the vent in my room with Cambria sitting between my legs and I was talking on the phone with my mom.  Atreyu finds his baby, a toy phone and then sits down and does the same.  It's just so cute.  He gives his baby a bottle sometimes but the funniest part is when he pretends to nurse his baby.  He just entertains me so much.  The picture is him pretending to be mommy in a princess dress.
Atreyu always loves to play with his daddy.  The two of them play Legos a lot and Jesse builds him so many fun things.  He's built a cruise ship, trucks, tractors, trailers, a helicopter, a boat like Papa's and here is his most recent creation...WALL-E.
Our little Cambria seems to just be growing more quickly than ever.  She's starting doing this funny growl thing and she constantly jabbers.  I think she may become a thumb sucker like her brother.  She has started doing it recently and she seems to be doing it more frequently every day.  It's pretty cute.
She can roll over but I think she will only do it when she really wants to.  She is also getting better at sitting on her own.
She seems like she has grown up so much in the past month.  I constantly get comments on how beautiful my children are.  One woman told me Cambria is one of the most beautiful babies she has ever seen.  A man in our ward has told me multiple times that have such beautiful babies we need at least a dozen (which is not going to happen).  All the compliments really go to my head.  But it is true...I have beautiful children!

Be My Valentine

We didn't have any big celebration for Valentine's this year.  Jesse had to go to a class in Pocatello in the morning and work a night shift that night so we only had a few hours in the afternoon to hang out but it was fun still the same.  He came home from Pocatello with a flower, card and chocolates as well as a pint of Karamel Sutra ice cream for us to share.
The kids woke up to a few Valentine's gifts.  Grandma Kunz also stopped by in the morning to drop off some Valentines and Atreyu thought it was fun to see her that early in the day.
Cindie was supposed to come over but she woke up sick.  We thought it would be fun to get her a little gift and drop it by her house.  We found a cute red bear at the thrift store that Atreyu wanted to give her.  Her mom sent me a picture a little later in the day.  It seems Cindie loves her gift.
Since it was Valentine's Day I thought it would be fun to dress Cambria up in her red tutu.  It's so much fun having a little girl!
We went to story hour in the morning and Atreyu made a little mail box for his Valentines.  I tried to get him to hold it so I could take a picture but he didn't want to so I held it for him.  He had fun gluing on the hearts.  They always have such fun projects for the kids to do at the library.
Now today Jesse is on his way to a Coheed and Cambria concert (my gift to him).  They are his favorite band so I thought it would be the best gift.  I love having a sweetheart to share Valentine's Day with because, afterall, he is my "zing".  And since Jesse wasn't around the whole day it was also fun having my two mini sweethearts to celebrate with.

Oh The Fun Things We Do

I really enjoy listening to Atreyu play. He has such a great imagination and comes up with the funniest little scenarios. Lately he has been telling us there's a shark in the water (on the floor) and we need to go in the boat (on the couch) and hide. He could probably play for hours. He also likes to pretend that we are all trucks. Sometimes he's a truck and other times he rides on Daddy's shoulders while Daddy is a truck. I am always a truck as well but I have to chase them or they chase me. He likes to "fuel us up" with the toy gas pump he got for Christmas. His favorite thing to do right now is block off a place in the kitchen which he makes into his own little kitchen and he has a living room under the kitchen table. He gets a bunch of toys out from his room (usually his blender) and puts them in his little house. He also likes Diesel to play with him and constantly tells me that I need to tell Diesel to play. This was his house today.
While he was making his house yesterday morning I heard him fall and he starts whining and saying, "I fall. I stuck in the box." I was confused. I didn't know where he could be stuck. So I went to check on him and he had fallen into a box I had sitting out so I could put it in the trash. It was pretty funny!
For Christmas my parents gave Atreyu some scented play-doh. We got it out a few days ago and Atreyu thought it neat that it was scented. We had fun playing with the toys and pizza cutter that Grammie and Papa also gave him and then we each made our family. Atreyu's also included Grammie, Papa, Tim, Grandpa, Grandma and Diesel.  Cambria also had fun watching us play.
Atreyu has always liked any game where someone is chasing someone else.  I really don't think it matters the reason as long as there's chasing.  Yesterday he decided he was going to chase me because he was a "mean butterfly".  I know...pretty scary.
I decided to put my two kiddos in the tub together and they had so much fun!  The Bumbo is not meant for the tub so I held it the whole time but Cambria loved the water and watching Atreyu play.  Atreyu decided that he would be a truck and Cambria was a trailer.  He held on to her legs and pulled her all over the tub (even around in circles).  I really love watching them interact.  You can tell that Cambria just loves Atreyu.  She smiles and laughs for him more than anyone else.  He's a good big brother to her and he always wants to give her hugs and kisses.  I love it!

Lastly, I decided to do some spring (or should I say winter) cleaning.  I was organizing our closet and found the hat Jesse wore when we were married.  I let Atreyu try it on and he looked so handsome.  Just a mini Jesse if you ask me.
I have to say that sometimes these sweet kiddos drive me crazy and I lose my patience with them.  I am trying to control my temper and be a bit more patient and I think it is working somewhat.  But even when I want to pull my hair out I feel so blessed to be their mother.  They both have such sweet spirits and make be feel so lucky that I have the great privilege of raising them and watching them grow.  My greatest dream in life was to be a wife and mother and I am lucky my dream has come true.  Jesse works hard to provide for us so that I am able to stay home and I am so grateful for him.
