Malad

Our last stop in Idaho was Malad to visit the Brower family. Annie had already planned to go to a Jimmy Eat World/Third Eye Blind concert with some friends so I tagged along and had a great time. The music brought so back many memories of college and high school and made me wonder how it is possible that so many years have already passed. Annie and I met our freshman year of college which was already 17 years ago. She is and always will be my bosom friend.
Cody built a foundry a few years ago so he could melt aluminum. They took us out to a friend's field where we melted the aluminum and then poured it into anthills. They have done it many times before but this was the first time Jesse and I got to. It was fun digging them out. They were each different and we never knew if they were going to be big or small, shallow or deep, etc. It was a fun day with some of my favorite people.
We also took the kids to this reservoir where they were able to kayak and swim. Gage even did some fishing and caught a fish.
As a last big hurrah, Annie dyed Cambria and Addie's hair. Annie bought them thinking they were both temporary but it turned out that Addie's was permanent. She looked so cute but it was so dark. Cambria loved her bright red, mermaid hair.

Bear Lake

We were blessed to do so much while we were in Idaho. It was such a great trip and we squeezed a bunch of things into our two and a half weeks. One day we went to Bear Lake with the Harpers and Argyle kids. It looked like we were going to get stormed out but thankfully after some cold wind it blew over and then got nice and sunny. I am so grateful I had the time to visit with Olivia. She is such a sweet friend and I'm so thankful I've been blessed to have her in my life. I just love her whole family!

Utah

While visiting in Idaho we took a trip to Provo to visit Jesse's sisters and their families. We all have so much fun when we get together. I have been truly blessed to have the in-laws I do. They don't come any better. We were able to celebrate Enoch's birthday by going to a fun trampoline, foam pit place which we all enjoyed, followed by dinner at Chuck-a-Rama. I was too busy playing to get any pictures.
That evening we read scriptures as a family and we all had a blast reenacting the story of Nephi and his brothers going to get the brass plates. It was so fun and a memory that all the kids will have of an important story.
The next day we went to This is the Place in Salt Lake. We got there a little late and they close rather early so we didn't spend much time but the kids were able to pet and ride some animals while the adults were able to practice their ax throwing skills. We spent our remaining time panning for "gold" and looking for jewels. I loved just being there with people I love and watching all the kids have so much fun together.
We also got to play games and eat yummy food together! With family is my favorite place to be.
