And The Baby is a...
For the first time, I had a blood test to find out the sex of our baby. My doctor told me you could find out as early as around ten weeks. I had the lab work done what feels like years ago and we finally got the results. The lab had some cases of Covid among their employees so things were slowed down a bit.
My friend, Michelle, from across the street really wanted to make us a gender reveal cakes so when I got the results on my phone, she ran over, looked at them, and got to work. This is the first time Jesse and I got to be just as surprised as the kids. Where we already have two girls, we were all hoping for a baby boy this time and that's what we're getting. We're all so excited and I feel that January can't get here soon enough.

A Trip to Monterey
We had to miss my family reunion in Montana this year because of Covid. We were all bummed about it but I really didn't want to risk bringing something to my family. We decided that since we missed that trip, we should still have a little vacation. We went to Monterey, probably my favorite place in California. It was the first time Cosette went to the beach and could actually appreciate it. She loved laying in the sand and occasionally putting her toes in the water.
My whole life, I always imagined that the California coast was always warm and sunny. I have experienced firsthand, however, how untrue that is. We were lucky to get a warm day while we were there but we also had our typical cooler days. Regardless of the weather, it was so nice to just get away and spend some time at the beach and by the ocean.

Surprise!
About a month ago, Jesse and I found a great deal on a hardly used Honda Odyssey. Since we are having another baby, we obviously have to get a bigger vehicle. I found this one online in Auburn which is a couple hours away. Jesse and I drove up there and we decided to trade in the Jeep for it. The owner of the dealership also owns a Jeep dealership so they offered us a great deal and we only had to pay an additional $4000 for the van. Because we are registering it in Idaho, there was some red tape to deal with and we weren't able to bring it home until we got everything done on our end.
I finally got everything I needed. We told the kids that we were trading in the Jeep for a van. They were excited for a new vehicle but were also a bit sad since we have loved our Jeep named "Beast" so much. We took a few pictures with the Jeep and I headed off to pick up the van.

Happy 8th Birthday Cambria!
My kids are growing up way too quickly. Everyone always tells you that you won't believe how quick the time goes and I know that is so true. Sometimes the days are long but the years aren't long enough.
Cambria is our social butterfly! She loved going to public school and she constantly wants to be spending time with friends. She's handled being away from most friends pretty well but I know she wishes she could of had a big birthday party. Thank goodness, yet again, for the Huynhs. They are around to celebrate and play with us all the time.
Cambria loves animals, the movie Zombies, playing outside, and teasing her little sister. Even with the teasing, she is a great big sister to Cosette and tries to include her in the things she does. Cambria has loved watching the movie Maleficent lately and decided that's what she wanted for her cake until the last minute when she wanted to switch to Zombies and I told her it was too late. Thank goodness she wasn't disappointed and she loved her cake anyway.
The next day, some friends from church did a drive by to wish her a happy birthday. She loved it!
