A Walk to the Park

This has been the strangest winter I think I have ever experienced. Hardly any snow and lots of beautiful, warm days. As much as I love winter with snow I have really enjoyed this warm weather. We were able to take a walk to the park with Jesse a couple weeks ago. It was so beautiful and Atreyu got to practice riding his bike. He gets really nervous and will usually only let Jesse help him. He did great and Cambria had fun running along with him. She's still not big enough to ride her tricycle on her own and it kills my back to bend over and push her for long. It was a good walk and we all had fun at the park. Daddy definitely pushes the kids way higher (and better) than I do. It was such a good day!

The Loves of My Life

I am so blessed to have a husband whom I love so much and who loves me! Jesse may have some hobbies that drive me bonkers but I know he loves me and he does what he can to make me happy. I am so thankful he provides for our family so I can stay home with the kids. He works hard and crazy shifts for us but I know he does it because he loves us. I love it when he is home and can play with the kids. Atreyu always wants Daddy to play super heroes and Cambria loves to join in. They have so much fun together and I know these are memories the kids will never forget.

Jesse and I were able to go to Logan last Saturday and watch his cousin, Adam, fight in an MMA tournament. He lost, unfortunately, but it was a fun trip and we had a good time together. We were able to meet Court McGee, a UFC fighter, and visit with him for a bit. I love when Jesse and I have the opportunity to get out and spend time together.
I also am so blessed to be the mother or two sweet kiddos. What a blessing they are to me! They have helped me to become more selfless and patient. Granted, I still have a long way to go with the patience thing.

Atreyu was our little miracle baby and I don't know what I would've done if he had died. I like to think that my faith would have grown stronger and that I would have come closer to the Lord but I know that I would have felt very angry. I'm glad I didn't have to go down that path. Atreyu has so much energy and always wants to play. He plays very well on his own but loves when he has someone to interact with. He recognizes pretty much all the letters (upper and lowercase) and he is starting to recognize more larger numbers. I so enjoy seeing him learn new things. He gets so excited every time he figures out what a new number is. Atreyu loves to have fun but he is still in the phase where he gets very upset if people don't play they way he wants them to. He is learning and growing and he is a good big brother to Cambria (most days). He loves the song "Book of Mormon Stories" and we usually sing it every week in singing time.
Cambria is our sweet, little girl with a great, big attitude. If she's not happy, you're sure to know. She loves Diesel and the other day she said he is her best friend. She loves animals and has a bunch of puppy and kitty stuffed animals that she constantly plays with. She loves to follow Atreyu wherever he goes (most of the time). Cambria likes to tease and does not like to got to sleep at night. I think she is like her mother...just recently have I been able to fall asleep fairly quickly. Cambria likes to sing and dance especially with Grandpa when they listen to ABBA. She loves to sing "Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam".
Atreyu and Cambria both love their bedtime stories and it is a real punishment if that ever gets taken away. They love to play and have fun with each other and even though they are each other's greatest enemy at times, they are also each other's best friend.

Cousins are Here to Stay...For a Week

Janell and I are taking turns watching each other's kids while the other one goes trippin'. It's been nice having someone watch my kids who I love and trust and I know my kids love. Janell's kids came here on Wednesday and they are staying until Tuesday. They've been so good and all the kids are getting along so well. I was really nervous about having Tyler since he is so attached to his parents but he has done awesome! He's such a happy baby and it's been fun getting to know him a little better.

Bernie has been helping out with the kids in her free time and they all love playing at Grandma and Grandpa's. They all went feeding cows this morning and then Grandma took us all to Arctic Circle for lunch and then we went to the park. It's been a fun day!

A Break at the Park

This past week I had to take the kids in to have the fluoride varnish done which neither of them really like. We had about an hour to kill so we went to the park by the Oregon Trail Center and the kids and Cindie had so much fun playing.
We then went to the Health Department to get the varnish done and both kids did awesome! They really wanted a popsicle when we got home so they didn't fuss at all. Atreyu also got his kindergarten shots. It's crazy to think they he is starting kindergarten in the fall. He turns five next month! It seems like just yesterday that he scared everyone when he was born. We are so glad everything turned out so well and that we are able to love our little boy everyday.

They Do Love Each Other

Sometimes I wonder how much Atreyu and Cambria actually like each other because they argue constantly but there have been a couple things recently that they have done that kind of melted my heart. First of all, we were at McDonald's on our way down to Provo and Atreyu and Cambria were playing in the play place. They kept coming down the slide together and then they liked to climb back up. Atreyu started to climb up and this boy about Atreyu's age got in front of Cambria and said she couldn't go. Atreyu turned around, gently pushed the boy away and said, "my sister can come." It was so sweet and I loved watching him defend her.

The second story was when I was playing with the kids and I was roaring and tickling them and Cambria said, "don't scare my brother." It was just the cutest thing and Atreyu let me know he wasn't scared but it is so nice to see them look out for each other. I love my two monkeys!

Clark Planetarium

Last weekend we went down to Utah for Alora's baptism. The kids thought it was so fun to watch her and both of them keep telling me that they are going to get baptized. Afterward, we went to the Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City. It's such a neat place with different exhibits that the kids loved. Here are some pictures of the kids on the "moon" and on "Mars".
We then watched a 3D movie about humpback whales which I think the kids would have enjoyed a lot more if they hadn't been so hungry and thirsty. It was fun to spend a quick weekend with family!

St. Patrick's Day Decorating

I never decorate for St. Patrick's Day so I decided I would do something this year. I made everything myself. I don't have much and it's very simple but I like how it turned out.
I had the kids help me make these really cute pots of gold attached to rainbows.

I made this coffee filter wreath and added some green to it but I can take these things off and add something else for different holidays.
