Las Vegas

This past week we had the opportunity to go to Las Vegas to visit my sister Angela and her family.  Jesse and Eli spent the whole weekend at a Magic tournament which Jesse absolutely loved.  He played pretty well too.  One day Angela and I took the kiddos out for some fun.  We went to the Silverton Hotel where they have an aquarium.  We were able to watch a man feed the rays and we also so a "mermaid" swim around in the tank.  Cambria was acting up during the mermaid show so I wasn't able to get a picture but I really like this one of the ray.
At the Silverton is a Pro Bass Shop which we walked around in for a bit.  There was an aquarium with a huge fish (which I can't remember the name of).  The kids had fun playing in front of it and watching all the fish.

That same day we headed to M&M's World on the strip and on the way we met Bumblebee and Ironman.  Atreyu and Wyatt were so excited!  We tried to get Katie and Jonah in the picture but they were both a bit shy.
It wasn't the most fun trying to keep track of five kids in M&M's World but they all had a lot of fun and were excited about all the different M&M's products.  We were able to watch a 10 minute 3D M&M's movie during which Atreyu had to keep pulling off his glasses to see if everything was really so close to him.  On the top floor we saw the Nascar racecar and on our way out we met a giant, dancing M&M.  It was a really fun store that I would've loved to have spent more time in.

As we left M&M's World we saw Hello Kitty.  This time Katie was excited to get in the picture.
We spent a lot of our remaining time in Vegas at Angela's place.  It was just difficult to manage all those kids and we didn't want to spend a bunch of money.  We had fun still the same enjoying each other's company and playing with Play-Doh.  Aren't they cute?

Once the Magic tournament was over the Daddy's stayed with the kids while Angela and I went to Olive Garden and then to The Internship.  Outside the theater were some slot machines so Angela and I decided to try our luck.  Unfortunately we didn't have luck on our side and we ended up losing $11.  That will teach us to gamble.  We had a fun girl's night out.

On Monday we went to our friend Leah's house.  We have known Leah since we were kids.  I hadn't seen her in a few years so it was nice to catch up.  The kids (and Daddy's) loved swimming in her pool and then we had a delicious dinner.

On Tuesday morning we all went to the Wet 'n Wild waterpark.  I think we all had fun for the most part but everyone was getting hungry and we had tired kids so we left earlier than we had planned which turned out to be a good thing.  We got everything packed and Eli took us to the airport but we almost missed our flight.  Thank goodness Heavenly Father answered my prayer and we were able to make it onto the plane.  It was a lot of fun visiting with our family and friends.

Sand Dunes 2013

For Jesse's birthday and Father's Day we went to the St. Anthony sand dunes.  It was so much fun!  We had a huge group there and it was great that there were so many kids that could play together.  Jesse and the boys were able to go out and ride the big dunes and they also took some of us girls out a few times.  I'm proud to say that I climbed Thunder Mountain on my own.  It is a bigger dune out there but no where near the biggest.  I think I had more fun riding the dunes this year than I have any other time. I had a blast!

So, of course, I took hardly any pictures but I did get a few.  There was a fun little playground at the campsite and Grandma and Grandpa were constantly playing with the kiddos.

Atreyu and Cambria both love their Grandpa and neither of them like to share him too much.  I did get a shot of them sharing their Grandpa however.  I think it is so sweet to see how much they love him.
I was able to ride out with Jesse and a bunch of the group one afternoon.  We went to the "stairway to heaven" and got an excellent view of the dunes from on top.

As we were packing up camp, Atreyu played for about thirty minutes on these stairs behind our campsite.  I loved how it looked overgrown and a little mystical.

Before we headed out on our trip, we have Jesse his birthday gift.  I found the idea on Pinterest and it turned out so cute.
When we got home we gave him his Father's Day gift.  Atreyu made this card and we also gave him a box of chocolates and a card I made him on Shutterfly.  I'm so grateful for Jesse and I love him so much.  He is so good to us!

Calves, Skateboards and Push-Ups

Grandma and Grandpa have two baby calves that they have to bottle feed for the summer.  Before they brought the babies up by the house, we went down to the corrals a few times and helped them feed one of the calves.  Cambria laughed as she pet the calf and Atreyu had fun helping hold the bottle.  I'm glad we live where we do so our kids have such fun opportunities.

Cambria is getting better and better at feeding herself.  She has started turning her nose up at almost all baby food because she wants real food.  Who can blame her?
I had to climb under the house last week and Atreyu thought that he needed to follow me down there.  He found Jesse's skateboard and played with it inside and out the rest of the day.  He said that when he gets big he's going to ride the skateboard on the road.  Hopefully when he gets older his helmet will still be cool.
There were a few days last week where we all got to bed late and the lack of sleep finally caught up with Atreyu.  He fell asleep on the couch and then rolled off.  Hitting the floor didn't phase him at all.  He kept on sleeping.  It was pretty funny!
Here's Cambria's 44 week (or about 10 months) old picture.  I think this is one of her best pictures and I just love it.  She is getting really close to crawling.  She does "push-ups" constantly.  She rolls and pushes herself backwards and just yesterday we saw her pull herself forward a tiny little bit.  It's fun watching my kids grow and seeing their accomplishments.

Lastly, I thought this was a funny picture.  I guess Atreyu was hot one evening so he laid on top of the couch and cooled off.  I love these crazy kiddos!

Tunnel Fun

A couple years ago my sister, Angela, gave us these pop-up tent/tunnel things and occasionally Atreyu pulls them out and has a blast with them.  This time he put some of the tunnels on the LoveSac and he said he had made a waterslide.  He slid down it a few times and just had a ball.
This was the first time that Cambria had played with these and she laughed and laughed.  You could tell that she absolutely loved it.

At one point Cambria ended up in one of the tunnels and Atreyu decided to join her.  They both just laughed and had so much fun with each other.  I hope that they can always enjoy each other.
