Our sweet Cosette girl is eleven months old. It does not seem like that much time has passed since she was born. She flies up the stairs and we've been teaching her how to come back down and she almost has that mastered. She loves her daddy and her blankie!

Washington
The kids just had a fall break and we decided to go to Washington to visit the Woods Family. They have visited us twice since we've been living down here so we thought we better make the effort to see them. Plus, we wanted to go back to Washington again. Honestly, if we didn't have a home back in Bern, I'd seriously consider moving to Washington when we decided to be done here. I love Washington and it was so nice to be back.
Our first day of exploring was at Deception Pass. The Woods family had school and work so we spent time with them over the weekend and in the evenings. This place is just so beautiful and other than the weather being a little cool the conditions were perfect. We also went back to Fort Casey on Whidbey Island.
One day we took a ferry to San Juan Island. Jesse had talked about going there while we were living in Washington but we never got around to it. I'm grateful he made it happen this time. It was such a beautiful island and it has such an interesting history. We weren't able to make all the stops that we wanted to in just one day. Next time we'll plan to stay a night or two.
We had so much fun with the Woods family eating yummy food, playing games, and just visiting with each other. I'm so thankful for their friendship and that we had the opportunity to meet them.
On our trip home we decided to stop in Seattle mostly to go to Beecher's Cheese Factory. Their flagship cheddar cheese is so good! We also explored around the market on Fisherman's Wharf.
We decided to drive down the Oregon coast and through the redwoods on the way home. It was a bit of a detour and the weather was cold and rainy so we didn't make a lot of stops but it was so wonderful driving on the coast and through the forest.
