Happy 13th Birthday, Atreyu

We officially have a teenager! Happy Birthday, Atreyu! We are so blessed to have this boy. He has such a wonderful imagination, he's great with the littles, he's always up for a game, he loves to spend time with his dad, and he always makes his mama feel loved. I'm so thankful to have such a sweet boy who always stands up for what is right. I love you, Atreyu! 

Atreyu also had the opportunity to stay the night at Brendan Lockwood's and they made him a special breakfast for his birthday.

Pennies and Applebee's

 I took the kids to JCPenney for their annual pictures. We then headed to Applebee's for a yummy lunch.

Favorite Things

I hosted a Favorite Things party with a bunch of friends, and I only remembered to get one picture. Amanda brought lipstick and these were the lucky ladies whose names she drew. It was a good party and I really enjoyed seeing what everyone's favorite things are.

Dungeons and Dragons Movie

A new Dungeons and Dragons movie was recently released. These movies are usually really cheesy but this one had great reviews and we've been so excited to see it. We were supposed to go with the Lockwoods but Jesse got sick, so I stayed home with him. The Lockwoods took Atreyu with them, and once Jesse was better, he got to go again with us. It was so fun and there were even locations and characters in the movie that Jesse has used in our campaign, so it made it even better!

Lockwood Baptism

We had the opportunity to attend the baptism of Matthew and Jonah Lockwood this weekend. Matthew is Atreyu's age, but he has autism and his parents wanted to be sure he understood what he was doing before being baptized so he was able to be baptized with his little brother. It was such a special service, and I had the honor of giving the baptism talk. I'm so thankful for these friends who have become like family. After the baptism, we all went out to dinner and then ice cream. Even though Matthew is so much older, he and Magnus adore each other.

Easter Shenanigans

For Easter this year, our ward combined with another ward to have a fun party and egg hunt. There were activities for the kids, fun booths to go to and pick out different foods, and then the egg hunt. We met up with Krystle and her son Jonah and we brought Cambria's friend, Kristina, and her sister, Diana.

We got all dressed up for Easter Sunday and had a wonderful time at church remembering our Savior. Cambria and Izzy recently watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and they wanted dresses from that time period for Easter. They looked so cute, but I wonder how much they will actually wear them.

That afternoon we had Jessica and her family as well as the missionaries join us for dinner and an egg hunt at our house. Jesse even hid some eggs for the elders, and it took them quite a while to find them. I love being able to include the missionaries in things that we do. I hope that when my kids serve missions, the people in their areas will do the same things for them.

The Mario Movie

We took the kids to see the new Mario movie and I ended up liking it so much more than I thought I was going to. It was so well done and the fact that Jack Black did the voice of Bowser made it that much more fun. We all came home singing his "Peaches" song. Jesse wasn't very excited to go but he loved it, too!
