California 4th Grade Mission Project

All the students in fourth grade in the state of California have to do a mission project. Neither Jesse or I have ever had to do one so it was a whole new experience for us. The whole family worked together on this model of Mission San Jose and I helped Atreyu with his paper. He did great on his online presentation and got 100% on the entire project. We may save the model for Cambria since the whole family worked on it. 

Making Brownies

For one of Atreyu's distant learning classes, his teacher taught the kids how to make brownies. I worked with him and we followed his teacher step by step and the brownies turned out delicious! Atreyu was pretty proud of himself. I was too.

Cosette also fell asleep on the couch this day so I had to share that as well. She's so precious.

A New Pool

I picked up a pool at Costco a few weeks ago and I left it in the back of the Jeep thinking that the kids wouldn't find it there. Of course, I took Cambria out for an errand and she happened to see it back there and has been begging ever since to set it up even though it hasn't been THAT warm. I finally gave in and the kids have been loving it. It's too deep for Cosette and she doesn't want to get in with the kids at all but she loves being outside.

Happy 10th Birthday Atreyu!

Our boy has hit double digits. It's crazy to think that it has already been 10 years since he came into the world. Atreyu has an amazing imagination, loves Legos, Bionicles, Minecraft, and just about anything he does with his dad. He loves his sisters (most the time) and he's still not too big to snuggle with his mama. He was wanting a party with friends but, because of coronavirus, it was just our family. He decided he wanted a Harry Potter cake. It was huge and we delivered pieces of it to multiple friends. 

We had some good friends from the ward plan a birthday drive by for him the day after his birthday. He was surprised and glad to see some of his friends again.

A Fun Place to Play

I thought that Cosette would enjoy it if I turned the coat closet into a place where she could get comfy on some pillows, play with her toys, and look at some books. Atreyu and Cambria ended up liking it just as much as Cosette and they all had fun watching a movie on the Kindle in the closet. I don't know how long it will last but it's fun even for a short while. 

Easter 2020

Easter was a bit different this year without being able to go to church or visit the Easter Bunny but we still had plenty of fun. Even though we didn't go to church I still got the kids the traditional Easter Sunday clothes. I love getting them new outfits for Easter and Christmas and I wasn't about to let coronavirus stop me. I have the cutest kids!

We also dyed eggs, had an egg hunt with them, and we also had the candy filled egg hunt with Jesse the day after Easter since he had to work Easter Sunday.

I'm thankful that we can still remember the life and sacrifice of our Savior even when we can't go anywhere. I am truly so thankful for Jesus and the love I constantly feel from Him and my Father in Heaven. I know that they are very aware of each of us and that they want us to be happy even when times are difficult. I know that they are blessing us each and every day.
