Happy Hollow Park and Zoo
Last Saturday we were supposed to meet up with Jesse's cousin but it fell through. Jesse really wanted to go play Magic since he hasn't been able to much here but the nearest place is and hour and a half away. I didn't want to be stuck at home again so the kids and I went dropped him off and headed to the Happy Hollow Park and Zoo in San Jose. I just thought it was a zoo but when we got there we found out that it was a mini amusement park. The kids had a blast on the rides and toys. We weren't able to see many of the animals due to all the flooding but it was a great day!
Treasure Island Flea Market
A couple weekends ago we went to the Treasure Island Flea Market in San Francisco. It was right in the bay and the kids loved playing on all the rocks by the water.
It was fun trying some different foods and seeing the different booths. We found one that sold old letterpress letters and I couldn't resist making something with all our family members' names. We decided we want a darker frame since we are going to be hanging this on a lighter wall but I love the way it looks.
Atreyu made one as well and he really wanted to buy it but they were pretty expensive.Children's Museum
There is a family with two kids around Atreyu and Cambria's ages that live next to us here at the RV park. A few weeks ago, we went with them to a kid's museum in Stockton. It was nice to get out and they had fun exploring and playing with other kids.
I've really appreciated having this family next door. The kids have someone to play with and I have an adult to talk with. Win-win!

Valentine's Day 2017
Since we are in a new place and don't know anyone, Jesse and I really didn't do anything for Valentine's Day this year. I did get him some chocolates and he and the kids gave me some beautiful flowers. He also brought home Krispy Kreme donuts for the whole family. Yum!
A few days later we all went out to eat at Johnny Carino's and a few days after that the ring that Jesse had given me for Christmas, that I needed resized, came in the mail. It says "love infinity" on the inside since that's what we always say to each other. I am so thankful for him and all he does for our family.

French Camp
We finally made it to California where we are staying at the French Camp RV Park in Manteca. Unlike the seclusion at Lake Ki, this is a huge RV park with lots of people. It's not as beautiful either but we have had some pretty days and a lot of rainy ones.
Before we left Washington, my dryer stopped working but I couldn't find anyone in the area that could come to us to fix it so I waited to get it done here in California. I was able to find a repairman who came and took the washer back to his shop. We've been using the laundromat which I'm getting sick of. The man should be bringing back my dryer tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Leaving Washington Part 2
Our next stop was the Tillamook cheese factory in Tillamook, OR. The kids loved sampling the cheese curd and the mac'n'cheese was awesome!
We then headed to Cape Meares and saw the lighthouse and this cool Octopus Tree.
Our last stop of the trip was Cape Kiwanda. We stayed at an RV Park that was walking distance to the beach. We ate a yummy breakfast at Village Coffee Shope. I told Jesse it reminded me of the part in the fifth Harry Potter book when Harry takes Cho Chang to Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop on Valentine's Day and it was completely overdone with decorations. I loved it!
We then went to the beach and did some exploring. It was so beautiful except for all the wind.
Jesse was able to quick run over to this rock in between waves and Atreyu wanted to go but we wouldn't let him. This is him sulking.
There was a sand hill next to the beach that Cambria really wanted to climb. We did it for her, but it turned out to be a big mistake. The wind was blowing so hard that we were pelted with sand and we could hardly see. Besides that, it was a fun day.
