Saying Goodbye to Elder Mitchell

It's very easy to get attached to the missionaries that serve in your ward especially if your blessed to spend a lot of time with them. One of our favorites, Elder Mitchell is getting transferred. We were blessed to share dinner with the Elders and the Petty's before he left.

Raquel's Baptism

Our friend, Raquel, decided that she wanted to be baptized and because of other things going on in her family, there was only about a week to plan. She asked both Jesse and Atreyu to speak. It was such a sweet baptism, and I am so grateful I was able to be there. It's truly beautiful to see what the gospel of Jesus Christ does in the lives of people who are learning and living it. I'm so happy that Raquel made this decision and I'm excited for her to continue to progress in the gospel and to learn more of Christ.

Disney Birthday

Cambria wanted a Disney birthday party this year since she will be going to Disneyland with Jessica and her family in February. The girls helped decorate and make chocolate covered strawberries the day before the party. The morning of the party, Jessica and I took Cambria and Izzy to get pedicures. The rest of the day was spent decorating sugar cookies, playing games, opening presents, eating too much sugar, and having a whole bunch of fun!

Color Party

Krystle, Raquel, and I all turn 40 this year. To celebrate all of us, we had a color party. Every couple that came, chose a color. They dressed in that color and brought food in that color. We had so many different things to eat. We played a fun 1984 trivia game that Kirk came up with and sang our hearts out to karaoke. It was a great way to ring in 40!!
