Funny Girl

I decided to take a bath in the middle of the day while the kids were watching their shows. Cosette followed me upstairs, banged and cried at the door for a few minutes, and then I thought she went back downstairs with Atreyu. I was wrong. I opened the door and there she was, waiting for me, laying on top of a bunch of pillows and blankets she had pulled out of the cupboard. She's such a sweet girl and we are so thankful to have her in our lives.

St. Patrick's Day and the Coronavirus

We are living in a crazy time. The kids are out of school for their spring break plus at least an additional two weeks due to the coronavirus. They're trying to slow the spread of the virus by having everyone practice social distancing. As of today, the state of California is on strict stay-at-home orders. We aren't supposed to got out unless it's for essentials. The governor also said he doesn't think it's likely that the kids will return to school this school year.
We have been having the kids stay quarantined between our house and the Huynhs. They have been having so much fun with each other. Mai and Jack stayed the night at our house the night before St. Patrick's Day so when all the kids woke up, we had green pancakes with Lucky Charms marshmallows and I gave the kids some fun things to dress up with for the day.
Jesse has also been DMing a Dungeons and Dragons adventure for Atreyu, Cambria, Jack, Jaden, and myself. We have all been having so much fun. Jesse went back to work today for the first time since we've been "quarantined" and depending on how he and the neighbors feel, this may be the last day the kids get to spend with them for a while since Jesse is much more likely to come in contact with the virus. Jesse said there aren't any current confirmed cases at his hospital but I'm sure it's just a matter of time.
I'm so thankful for our living prophet who has been preparing us to study the gospel at home. Jesse blessed and passed us the sacrament in our home on Sunday. It was a special experience and it seems that it will become the norm for the foreseeable future. I'm so thankful for the priesthood. Atreyu and Cambria each prepared something to share with the family on Sunday as well. We had a beautiful sabbath day.

Little Moanas

Cambria and her friend Mai from across the street have become good little buddies. They play together almost everyday. They decided they wanted to play Moana one day. They both had a costume and they looked so darling. I love having the Huynh family across the street. They have become such great friends!

Warrior Ball and Just Dance

Jesse taught Atreyu and the neighbor boys how to play a version of dodge ball called Warrior Ball. They've been playing a lot and Cosette just walks around with her own ball as the boys are running around her like crazy and throwing balls at each other. She also likes to join Cambria and the neighbor girls as they play Just Dance. She dances around with them and loves all the music. She just loves being a part of everything.

Awards

The kids each had an assembly where the teachers handed out awards to students in their classes. We're so proud of Atreyu for making the Honor Roll again! Cambria received the SOAR-ing Student award for her class. It's an award for the student the teacher thinks is a good helper, friend, and overall good student. Cambria was so surprised when she received the award. I'm so happy that she is such a good student and enjoys school so much. Both the kids have done so well with school this year and it makes me so happy to see all their progress.

Wreaths and Signs

I love decorating for the different holidays. I decided to make a Valentines wreath and a St. Patrick's Day wreath. I love how they each turned out! I also have this fun Welcome sign that that I change with each holiday. I think it's such a cute front porch.

Our Cosy Girl

Our neighbors gave Cosette this little "bike" and she loves it. When she's not walking all over, she's been riding it around the house and outside. I love that this yard has grass as well as sidewalks that the kids are able to ride bikes, scooters, or roller skate on.
We have been going to the park more often and Cosette not only likes the swings but she also enjoys the jungle gym and slide.
Cosette was throwing all the diapers around the living room and then she would open one up and put it on her head. She thought it was so funny...which it really was.
Cosette loves her brother and sister. She's happy to see them when she wakes up or when we pick them up for school. I thought this moment was so sweet. The kids were watching a show and she just snuggled up with Atreyu.
Jesse was working out in the yard one day and Cosette started to mimic all his motions and exercises.
We had a few really warm days and Cosette was able to play with her water table. The other kids got her soaking wet but she loved it. She's just so cute!
I always put a headband on Cosette when we go to church but that is usually the only time. Recently, she has noticed that Cambria wears headbands so she wants them on constantly. We'll put them on her and say she looks so pretty to which her response is to reach up and touch the headband.
I had this box laying on the floor before I took it out to the recycling and Cosette took it over and played in it for a couple days. She thought it was so fun and loved it when Atreyu or Cambria would push her around in it.
Cosette and I had fun with the camera. She's such a funny, sweet little girl.
