Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year, we went up to Montana to be with my family. On our way there, Atreyu threw up again because of his car sickness. It usually only gets to him on windy roads. He did just fine on the way home as did Cambria. But on the way there, Cambria was fussy for about a third of the time. Fussy kiddos makes one think about traveling less but we had a good time with my family. We stayed with my Grandma one night and then had Thanksgiving dinner at my Uncle Tom and Aunt Judy's place. There weren't many of us there but it was an excellent dinner with good company.

We went back to my parent's place that night. On Friday afternoon, the girls (my Mom, Stephanie, Cadence, Cambria and myself) did a little shopping. It was fun to get out and look around but after two stores, we were done. I got Cambria a pretty Christmas dress (which Jesse says doesn't look Christmas at all), some jammies for the kiddos and a few gifts. It was fun getting out with the girls. That night we stayed up until 2:30 playing Magic. I never stay up that late but we had a fun time.

I am always thankful for this time of year where I am able to reflect on all my blessings. I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to be the wife to a man I love with all my heart and a mother to two beautiful children. I love my sweet, little family so much and I know I am truly blessed to have them all in my life. I am thankful for all my family, immediate and extended. I have been blessed to love many wonderful people and have their love in return. I am thankful for wonderful friends, my lovely home and the beautiful area that we are privileged to live in.

I have so many things in my life to be grateful for and I need to be better about recognizing all those blessings all year long. I know there are many people much less fortunate than myself and I know I need to do better at serving those people and just being more grateful.

I am excited for the Christmas season. It is my favorite time of the year and I am excited to watch my kids on Christmas morning. I remember how much I always loved Christmas. It would take me forever to fall asleep. I am thankful that we are blessed to spend these special holidays with family that we love so much!
