A Few Projects and Thrift Store Finds

A couple weeks ago I was able to go to Logan all by myself while Jesse watched the kids.  It was a much needed break and I loved getting out for a few hours.  I found a few things to decorate my kitchen.  I forgot to take before pictures but the "K" was bright green with blue spots.  It was really cute but didn't fit in with my kitchen theme.  I hung this above my stove and I really like it.
The basket thingy was a light green and this is how it turned out after.
This was a set of candlesticks I found and I love them.  Jesse thinks I'm weird decorating with candlesticks without putting candles in them but I don't think these ones need them.
I found this green shelf at our local thrift store last year and I was just trying to decide how I wanted to paint it.
I was planning on putting it in Cambria's room so I decided to paint it white.  I love the whole owl theme that is really popular for girls' rooms right now.  I got some stencils when I was in Logan and stenciled some owls onto the shelf.  They moved a bit so the stenciling isn't perfect but I think it turned out pretty cute.
I had a lot of fun with the projects and I want to find more things that I can do to add to my home.  Lastly, I found this chair at the thrift store for $8 and I thought it would be perfect for Cambria's room when we don't have the crib or changing table in there anymore.  The kids have both loved it and Cambria always sits in it when she watches her favorite show, Bubble Guppies.
