Carmel-by-the-Sea

At the end of September we spent a weekend in Carmel-by-the-Sea this darling, quaint town south of Monterey. There were so many cute shops and dogs are allowed in almost every one. It was nice that we actually got to bring Diesel with us.
On our way there we stopped in Moss Landing at Phil's Fish Market. Jesse had heard that they had amazing seafood. I, for a change, actually order fish and I really enjoyed the freshly caught Halibut. Jesse and Atreyu loved all their seafood, while Cambria enjoyed a grilled cheese sandwich. We also played at the beach there for a bit and we were pleasantly surprised that the water was a lot warmer than we had anticipated.
We stayed the night in Carmel at the Wayfarer Inn. The parking around Carmel was ridiculous and we were lucky to get a spot about a block away.
The next day we explored the town. We went to a toy store, a candy store, and I was even able to get the kids' Christmas ornaments.
We spent a little time at the beach but we were surprised that it was so much cooler than at Moss Landing. I didn't want to get wet at all.
As we were leaving, we decided to take the 17 Mile Drive along the coast. It was so beautiful!
