Our first stop was in Boston. We were originally just going to do some exploring on our own, but I was that they occasionally have excursions to Salem. I've always wanted to go there and while they didn't have any excursions through the ship that went to Salem, we got an Uber and made the hour drive there. It was so cool to go to place that I've seen in movies and wanted to visit for such a long time. It was packed but a neat experience still the same. I do want to go back someday and stay there for a few days. Our next stop was Portland, Maine. We took an Uber to a lighthouse and walked around the area. It was a cool and windy day but otherwise beautiful. We even saw a bride and groom who were getting married there.
Our third port was in Sydney, Nova Scotia. We saw the World's Largest Fiddle, Cambria had a bird eat out of her hand and got a Canada beanie (took), and we found a delicious restaurant that served poutine. It was so good!! As we headed back to the ship, we stopped and looked around the craft fair.
Our next stop was Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is the only excursion we booked through the ship. We rode on a double-decker bus to Peggy's Cove where we were able to see the lighthouse. Unfortunately, we were only there for less than an hour, so we didn't get to spend as much time as we would've liked. Right before we got back to the cruise port, Magnus threw up on the bus. I got him mostly cleaned up. He then went back on the ship with Jesse, Grandpa, Atreyu, and Cosette while I walked around the town with Cambria, Grandma, Debby, and Steve. We found a hat shop and we had fun trying on lots of different hats. I even found one that I decided to get since it was so cute. Our last stop was in Saint John, New Brunswick. We took a taxi to the Bay of Fundy where the ocean and the river meet which causes really cool "reversing rapids". It was beautiful! We had a good time on the ship eating good food, enjoying some fun entertainment, playing mini golf, doing some archery, ice skating, and enjoying our servers in the dining room.
