Halloween 2018

I had planned that I was going to be a witch for Halloween this year quite a while ago when I found this dress on Etsy that I really liked. It could be used for different costumes but I loved how it turned out. We threw Jesse's costume together last minute. He found the hat and sword at Spirit Halloween and then we found a sheet and a drape at a thrift store that we turned into his costume as a samurai.
The kids had different costumes for different events. For the trunk-or-treat, Cambria was a Wellie Wisher (a type of American Girl doll) and Atreyu was a skeleton. Jesse, again, nailed Atreyu's face paint. We had a good time visiting with friends and eating a yummy dinner. Once the night was over the kids had filled their big buckets almost completely to the top.
For the renaissance faire Cambria was a kitty, fairy, ballerina and Atreyu was an orc. There were so many fun things to see and do. The kids were even taught a bit about Vikings and their armor and weapons.
On Halloween Cambria was again a Wellie Wisher and Atreyu was an underworld dragon. We just went trick-or-treating around the RV park and the kids again filled their buckets. Once we got home, the went through all their candy and donated about half of it to our troops.
