I always try to go to my family's reunion in Montana every summer but this year Jesse's family was having one at the same time and Jesse's parents and aunt were in charge of it so we decided it would be best if we didn't miss his. I decided to take the kids up to Montana by myself for a few days earlier in July so we could still visit my family up there.
On the drive up everything was going wonderful until Atreyu suddenly told me he was sick and promptly threw up all over his seat. I was so upset and I didn't handle the situation well at all. He has had two other instances of getting motion sick since then and I have learned my lesson to give him Dramamine before we go anywhere.
After I got everything cleaned up we headed on our way and finally made it to Helena. We had such a good time. All us girls had our traditional pedicures together. Cambria was so excited that she got her own chair. Jimmy painted her nails and he was so funny and kept making her laugh.
Of course, these were the only pictures I remembered to take while we were with my mom and Stephanie. I always get so distracted that I just don't think of it. We took the kids to the theater and watched "The Secret Life of Pets" which was pretty cute. Tim had this cool mask that Atreyu liked so he took Atreyu to the store and bought him a mask. Atreyu, Tim, and Papa then painted and decorated it and it turned out great! I'm glad my mom remembered to snap a picture of Atreyu in the mask.
After spending the weekend in Helena we then packed up and headed to Florence to visit my grandma. On the way there, we stopped at my old elementary school. It was surreal to be back there again and watch my kids play on a lot of the same equipment that I used to play on.
It was nice to visit with my grandma and play some games with her. Even though I'm all grown up, she still spoils me. When we got there she has made Four Layer Delight, my favorite dessert. It was so nice to visit all my family and to feel their love. I'm glad that, even though we don't see them very often, my kids still know who all my family are and they enjoy visiting them too.
