Baton Rouge

The main reason we decided to take a cruise out of New Orleans was so we could go to Baton Rouge and see Jesse's Grandma Easley, or Mo-Mo. After the cruise, we met Cameron and Janell, rented some vehicles and headed over to Bernie's old stomping grounds. We first went to the cemetery where Jesse's grandpa is buried. Then Bernie and John Paul showed us where their old home and father's business used to be, as well as their old elementary and high schools.

We visited Jesse's Aunt Kay who is in a nursing home. She was such a fun lady and I could tell she has a big heart.

The next day we were able to visit Mo-Mo. We also met some of Jesse's aunts and an uncle that he had never met before. We all went out to eat together and then we went back to Mo-Mo's care facility where we sat and visited for a few hours. Sweet Mo-Mo was smiles the whole time. You could tell she loved spending time with her family. I'm so thankful we had the opportunity to visit.
