Christmas Happenings

It's the most wonderful time of the year even though we don't have snow (which we all miss). We've decorated the tree, made gingerbread houses and decorations, and seen Santa.
We decided that we were going to help a needy family in our ward with some of the Christmas money we've been given. The kids picked out a gift for each of the three children in that family and we gave the mother a Wal-Mart gift card. It felt so good to help them out. They didn't have any presents under their tree when we dropped off gifts and the mother was so grateful. I feel so blessed with all we've been given and so thankful that we were able to help a family in need. The kids had fun picking out and giving gifts to this family and I hope it's helping them learn the true meaning of Christmas and the joy of service.
