Grand Cayman

Jesse and I have wanted to go to Grand Cayman for a few years. We were supposed to go back in 2011 and the port was canceled due to an upcoming hurricane. We finally made it there on our cruise. We went snorkeling with Bernie and John Paul and we were so excited that Atreyu was able to come with us. We were able to see a sunken ship that was intentionally sunk to help promote reef growth. A hurricane went through the area a few days before we arrived and the currents caused the ship, which had been upright, to fall over on it's side and look more like a natural shipwreck. There weren't many fish in the area but it was fun to see a sunken ship.
Our guides then took us to "Hamburger Reef" named such because of the Burger King which was straight inland. There were beautiful fish and coral. Jesse and Atreyu even found a Trigger Fish.
Atreyu, John Paul, and I headed back to the ship once the tour was over. Jesse and Bernie swam to another reef that was just off shore a bit to do some more snorkeling. I think they enjoy it more than I do. I love going out in the ocean but the sun, swimming, and salt water wears me out.
